Your point? It isn't that hard to switch positions at LB. They're all similar. Barrow at MLB because of his size. Baker doesn't make as much sense because I'd be surprised if he is even 6'. But then again, Barrow might not be able to get the mental aspect of MLB down. It would make sense to put a Senior there even though he is undersized.

DE all the way
we might need to re-institute the Express, or fuse it with the Mustang some kinda way.

when ya'll talk about Hatcher having one bad game are you talking about the Ark. game where he single-handedly gave them 2 touchdowns????? check video at start "or 1:16" and at :50 on the other TD.

Jon Vilma is not a really big middle linebacker. Neither was London Fletcher, Ali Highsmith, or Sam Mills. Baker is big enough in my opinion because of how physical he is. He is a tough kid. Of course it would be good to get 10lbs bigger, but I don't mind a kid with a low center of gravity at linebacker.

I'll try not to sound too white/racist here, but I would really like to see how Muncie and Welter are doing in practices.
Muncie definitely looks the part, eventhough I still can't get what happen to him on special teams this year out of my head.
If what you said about Muncie's weight is true, then him and Welter should be right about the same weight, with Muncie being a couple of inches taller than Welter. Both seem like they can move really well.
Then again, I am not at practice.

It's not hard, but Barrow wont be playing MLB. It will likely be Minter, but if not, it will be Baker.
Barrow can play either OLB spot. Id expect him to take over for Francois if Minter wins the MLB spot, like he should.

If Minter or one of these young bucks can't step up Baker could very well play middle linebacker. I also think Chavis will get the best players on field even if that means 1 linebacker has to play out of position. Also one thing I know from experience is a linebacker is only as good as his defensive line. If your defensive line is solid at the point of attack and doesn't get blown back this makes a huge difference. I need to see how our Dline shapes up to see how well our linebackers play.

Is Maclin not quick enough to play LB? Or just too heavy? I'd really like to see another tall Bradie James type of LB at LSU. Maclin seems like he would be a beast a LB. Was Mingo ever given a chance to play LB? I just don't see him ever being big enough to play DE. He's a great pass rusher to the outside but that's about it seems like. JMHO.

Baker, Minter, and Francois will start. Minter was the leading tackler in the spring and starting but he suffered from turf toe and was never really healthy. I have met Kevin and he is a really cool guy and I have never seen a guy work as hard as him.
