Lame argument. I guess your fans are not really die-hard if they don't show up.

Arkansas either surpasses or falls within a few hundred in average attendance every year come June

Arkansas didn't even play in June last year. Most teams don't. You usually have to make it to Omaha to play in June.

They do show up. The past 5 years we have averaged within a few hundred of LSU 4 years and exceeded LSU by almost 1000 1 year.

No shite. It's another way of saying "When the season is over"

I'm not sure if this thread is just full of retards or what. The first 4 pages is a big circle jerk boasting of total attendance all the while ignoring that LSU has averaged 5 to 10 more home games a year than it's nearest "competitor" in attendance.

The only way to measure your support is to look at averages. When you do so, you see that there is absolutely nothing special about LSU when it comes to attendance, relative to Arkansas.

I said this because a school that plays in shitty winter weather half the season has averaged damn near the exact same amount of butts in the seats per game.

This is then argued back by "total" attendance, all the while ignoring the amount of home games you play. It's a vicious cycle of retard banter.

Arkansas does not play in a frozen tundra but their average attendance does make a bolder statement than LSU's considering it's the same as LSU's but in much, much shittier colder weather.

you keep harping on this, yet it seems like only 1 or 2 posters even mentioned it

Its a 12 degree difference on average dude, frick, you maybe played a couple home games all year in 30 something weather, same as us. Yet, you havent brought up how much bigger your stadium was during all these attendence numbers. LSU's new stadium is smaller and check out the difference this year.

dude, are you seriously trying to win an arguement on TIGER rant. Not gonna happen. Your "statements" are all insignificant to what was posted on the first page. And you guys aren't the only college in America to have bad weather. Baseball has had a few game delays already and lsu softball is in the double digits when talking game postponements and delays. Its not always sunshining over here.

Yes, and you exceeded LSU in 2007. With our larger stadium, don't expect it will ever happen again.

You sound like a liberal pundit the way you spin things in your favor. Obama is going to need another press secretary soon.

Really? Wow.

My point has been made and whether you like it or not, I brought up something that was ignored in the first 3 pages of this circle jerk.

LSU plays more home games than the nearest "competitor" so the "total" attendance means jack shite. Furthermore, your average is almost identical the past 5 seasons to a team that typically has a few games a year cancelled due to freezing rain, sleet, and snow. When weather isn't a factor, it is still cold and sucks.

Point being, and I'll bow out, there is nothing whatsoever that is special about LSU's attendance figures when facts are brought to light.

I'm out.

You're an arkansas fan, so we know there is at least one retard posting in this thread.

How convenient of you to omit the fact that your stadium had a larger capacity than the old box and a small advantage on the new box. We max out our stadium, you don't. We sell all our season tickets every year. We have a waiting list for tickets.

I can't blame you for wanting your program to be like ours, but it's not.

You spent almost all your posts in this thread talking about averages, but apparently don't know what it means

except the fact that lsu STILL has a significantly smaller stadium and yet draws more people. imagine if lsu had the new box this entire decade. what would the attendence figures look like then?

I would like to ask a question regarding this attendance debate.
What attendance figures are you using when comparing LSU and Arkansas numbers? Are the numbers tickets sold or actual buts in seats. I've always heard that LSU reports only tickets sold and Arkansas reports ACTUAL ATTENDANCE. To someone who knows, is this true?
When you compare actual attendance to games. How does Arkansas compare?

BTW, I always read this board to find out what's going on with the LSU program. Great Site.

Get another 15 or so of those and you might catch up with us this year. Arky has been promoting breaking attendance records for those 2 games. LSU hasn't had to do that ever. People just come regardless.
