Odd that after the two games you mention to start the '02 season we laid an egg against Va Tech to start the season. We did it again in the bowl game against Texas that year. At that time it seemed like maybe we had peaked in '01.

Elsewhere that year there was a new sheriff in town in Provo who was running a wild high scoring offense in his first season as he always does and had BYU in the top 10

Oh yeah Miami was unreal that year and really in 2000 as well other than that route loss to Washington.

Colorado's QB was named Pesavento or something like that.
