If they are future NFL DEs...they need to learn how to get off the blocks, even if they are being held...or not even let an OL get his hands on them in the first place. The other thing is..use that OLs momentum against him.

Anybody who thinks LSU was playing prevent needs to go back and learn football 101, Chavis blitzed both corners on that screen for a touchdown! Kevin Minter got caught inside and got hooked! Go watch the replay!

3 we played prevent offense at the end with a chance to put the game away. Playing for a field goal was WEAK.

UGH. You need to go watch the replay.
We are talking about the plays that led up to the screen. All Alabama needed was to get into FG range (Which they were already in on the screen pass). So tell me, why would you call a prevent defense when all the offense needs to get is about 30-35 yards downfield in 1:40.
Give a 10 yard cushion, that's 3 completions and that's it you're in FG range.
LSU had no business diverting from the gameplan that was working great.

The prevent defence does one thing; it prevents you from winning.
