Just watched the Earthquake Game. What a game! What a game by Tommy Hodson. I’m ready for some football!

It was a great football game, particularly on defense. And THE DRIVE was a thing of beauty...Hodson to Fuller was just one of three miracle plays on the drive.

I was a complete a-hole after that game. Apologize now to the Auburn fans walking to their cars or party spot down Nicholson towards Tigerland.

I would never apologize to an Auburn fan about anything. Their team plays dirty and have abused our players on numerous occasions.

I have a grudging respect toward Alabama, but nothing but contempt for Auburn. Hate them worse even than A&M or Florida.

Their team’s play has nothing to do with them as fans.

They are fans supporting their team. The Auburn fan didn’t chop block Glenn Dorsey.

That being said, I was also rude to an Auburn fan in ‘97 because he asked me where Mike’s cage was. I pointed him in the correct direction, but I also went on to tell him LSU has an actual Tiger for a mascot and Auburn doesn’t. In my defense, I was 16 at the time.

To be fair, the first 54 minutes of that game sucked. The defenses played great, but it felt like there was a lot of offensive ineptitude as well.

But the final 6 minutes, including that final drive, were great theater. Very dramatic. Goes down to the last chance on 4th down. Hodson gets killed for the umpteenth time, but still gets the pass away. Fuller redeems himself for the earlier drop. It's easy to understand why there was an earthquake reading. It was one big buildup that ended at the last possible moment.

It was also the first good bourbon shower I ever got in the student section. Stuff was flying everywhere

My best student tickets of the year were for that game. When Fuller caught that pass, a shower of bourbon and coke rained down on us. Great memories.

Absolutely - some fans were even booing our offense. But it was intense for sure and great ending off course.
