Might as well claim 1936 as well. LSU was undefeated, recorded shutouts 5 of last 6 games. Outscored opponents 281-34. And before you point out that they lost the Sugar Bowl, the recognized champ that year, Minnesota, only played 8 games, didn't even win their conference, was shut-out by Nortwestern, and didn't play in a bowl game. LSU's claim is more legit than Minnesota's

What’s the best way us as fans can get this to the LSU people in charge?

#Claim08LSU let’s get it trending on Twitter

What’s the best way to get their attention?
Just tweeted to LSU on their design. They need to add a diamond and 1908 to the design. Need more LSU fans with more twitter followers than me to get any movement though.

Someone tweet it to OBJ and I bet he starts tweeting about it. But maybe that’s not the right way to get LSU’s respect right now

surely there’s a statute of limitations.
Also, I thought someone said we were cleared of that.

the ncf natty is the defacto recognition of national championships prior to 1939, first year of the ap. coaches poll started in 1948 or some such.
any claim recognized by the ncf prior to 1939 is legit. any claim after 1938 is silly.
should claim 1908.

Bunch of teams claim pre poll championships. LSU should claim 1908.

i have zero problem with any team claiming a ncf natty prior to 1939. it's legit.

So all the fans that have been criticizing Alabama for there 5 NC's that they claim in the pre AP Poll era are now saying lets do what Bama does?
Maybe you were not one of those fans, but plenty here were and continue to be. Oh well

bama only claims 4 nattys prior to 1939. it's claiming 1942 that gets em in trouble.
they were undefeated rose bowl champs that the ncf gave nattys to prior to 1939 for the other 4.

Coach O runs much faster than that with his shirt off.

Doc Fenton was LSU’s first superstar player. He deserves to be recognized. #Claim08LSU
