The entire 2006 Auburn game was the worst call in college football. Because there were about 5 disastrous calls, not just one gaffe, and it actually caused LSU to lose (albeit with some help from Jimbo).

Hmmmm, what's worse: the alumni who cheats or the alumni that writes about the cheater? I gotta go with #1 here, if Auburn wasn't a bunch of cheating pos, then there would be nothing to write about.

Let me get this straight....an Auburn alumni and booster is selected by the SEC office (against SEC policy) to be the replay official for the Auburn/LSU game, he makes a questionable call that costs LSU the game and there is not one AP/ESPN/Fox Sports reporting or uncovering of this? Until now, when an LSU alumni and season ticket holder writes an article on an online sports site and blows the case wide open!!! Genius.

No, that's the point. He wasn't selected by the SEC. He was selected by Auburn. HIS cheating, and presumably others, is what caused the SEC to change the policy of letting the home team select the replay officials.

There was nothing questionable about those calls. They were patently obvious. He didn't make questionable calls, he simply cheated.

You must not have watched TV for a few weeks after that game. Practically every media outlet in the country was talking about the cheating refs in that game.

By 2006, replay officials were picked by the SEC not the home team. Reference I-59 Tiger's post on the earlier page, changed after the first year of replay.

They didn't talk about cheating ref's, they talked about a blown call. It was interference, plain and simple.

I'm so glad Auburn went undefeated and didn't get to play for squat. Karma.

That part was a exaggerated joke to show just how bad the call was.

Damn, if it is, I wished he had published a disclaimer. Do you realize how many rantards get all of their hard news here?

Unfortunately, yes. It is so obvious. Well, not to all I guess.

After last years dramatic win, we will surely get hosed again on the plains. I have already accepted that as fact, but I am still going to the game to cheer the REAL tigahs!

The replay official overturned the interference and gave the ball back to Auburn. It was later discovered that the replay official was not only an Auburn alumnus, but was also a big booster to the program. I guess that’s how he got the job. Nevertheless, this blatant home cooking cost LSU a chance to play for the SEC Championship and possibly a national title.
WTF, i never knew that

i really never knew the replay official was an auburn grad. thats fricking terrible. only in the state of alabama. i guess the 2004 situation was a little more justifiable, but it was still a chickenshit call. doucet jumping over his teammate had no effect on auburns shitty kicker missing the pat

I can't believe some of you believe the comment about the ref being an AU booster/alunus. That was a joke folks. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)
