I think it will be:

DE: Alem
DT: Nevis
DT: Al Woods
DE: Levingston
WLB: Sheppard
MLB: Cutrera
SLB: Riley
CB: Peterson
SS: Coleman
FS: McCray
CB: Hawkins
Nickle: C. Jones

Some will disagree with me on this, but I would rather Chad be on the bench than be at nickle. He has just been terrible for most of this season. He has been burnt so many times. We really just need to put a CB at nickle instead of a safety.

Privy to practice info? Cause that's the only way you'd really know that about him.

Yeah, but then again, if you would have looked at this years defensive line up before the year actually begun, you would have been a lot more impressed.

I do too...but Cutrera will probably be a starter next year and I'd rather not see him at OLB. So, I guess Riley will stay there.

I really think a Sheppard, Riley and Baker LB corp would be pretty stout. Kelvin struggled a bit earlier(partially due to injury), but he's stepped it up the last few games.

I like this lineup, but none of this will matter if two things don't happen...

1. new DC with new gameplan to get people in the right positions

2. if someone can teach these kids some tackling drills...never seen so many missed tackles in my life for players that are supposed to be "hard-hitters" (e.g. Chad Jones, Harry Coleman, Perry Riley)

I think Cutrera is a decent MLB, and Coleman should play SS. here's my picks:

RE: Rahim Alem
DT: Ricky Jean-Francois
DT: Al Woods/Drake Nevis
LE: Pep Livingston
SLB: Perry Riley
MLB: Jacob Cutrera
WLB: Ryan Baker
CB: Patrick Peterson

RJF isn't going anywhere. Not with 16 tackles and 1 sack he isn't.

i wouldn't mind RJF slimming down a tad and moving him to DE if he wanted but we are pretty deep at DE so i wouldn't cry about it if he didn't. Alexander might also get a med rs which would make a deep a decent dt rotation of woods, nevis, and alexander.

baker and theriot will get some pt but won't start.

I think that seems like a pretty good unit. I will be excited when we get an aggressive dc.

without a new solid DC its all a waste

Lesson learned from this year. One would have to dig deep into the record books to find such unmitigated waste of talent on a defense.
