We averaged 7.7 yards per play last night

It was so much fun to watch. The second half was so well balanced. Against a top 25 SEC opponent, I even enjoyed watching Clark and Berry take snaps to improve their game. We have multiple weapons.

Agreed. And after we scored our 1st touchdown, I thought it was an easy watch too. I think the offense may have gone 3 and out on the other 3 of their 1st 4 possessions—and that absolutely has to get fixed—but you could tell really early that the defense was not gonna give up much. I didn’t feel the game was in jeopardy after the 1st TD. After the 2nd, I really felt it was pretty much over.

That’s what I mean by “easy watch.” It was both that and, like you said, so much fun. Which is why I should have stayed off this board. It’s just still hard for me fathom how supposed fans can be so absolutely fricking miserable during a game like that. But the Scoreboard will Scoreboard.

Oh, another interesting nugget by Carter. In our 1st 4 games under the Kiffin regime, we have won 3 games by 29+ points. In the entire Brian Kelly regime, we won….3 games by 29+ points.

And that sounds like an offensive stat, but we scored a shite ton in ‘23. Jayden had maybe the 2nd best all around season by a QB of all time behind Joe. (Talking pure stats). But to win blowouts, you have to have a good defense too. And ours, despite what everybody was saying last week, is really damn good. Baker is really damn good. We’ve only given up 14 points in the last 6 quarters. That’s 90 minutes. 1 touchdown and 2 FGs. And one of the FGs last night was after a turnover on our side of the field, and I’m not sure they even gave up any yards. Couldn’t have been many because it was a 54 yarder. So the defense has really only given up 11 points in 6 quarters. Against SEC teams both ranked in the top 10 8 days ago.

Yet there are still really, really stupid and miserable assholes who think Blake sucks and were wishing he would leave. Not just during the game, but some even after. I feel so sorry—wait, no I don’t —for assholes so miserable that get so pot-committed to a take so early, that their cognitive dissonances won’t allow for them
come off those takes, even in the face of opposing facts. Like, what is the point of even being an LSU football fan if you couldn’t enjoy the performance of Sam Leavett last night? Or the defense? I will never get it. But it’s a choice, so frick ‘em.
