He’s been absolutely terrific this year. He was making noise all camp and it carried over to this season. It’s clear why he was pushing Cooley for the FS start before the spears injury. Since being inserted into the lineup he’s simply been awesome.
Great in coverage and absolutely elite tackling in space. The hit he laid on brown was impressive closing speed. Theirs a reason this kid was a 4 star and no.1 safety in LA in 2025 he’s a dog.

Most years losing someone like Dashawn Spears would be catastrophic for the season. It still is a tough loss but jhase has stepped up so much that the defense has barely missed a beat. He’s one of the best players on the team.

That tackle set the tone. Defense played with so much force and physicality. They were flying around out there

Agreed Jhase’s emergence at FS has allowed us to move Benefield to Spears’s star spot. Sucks losing the length , coverage ability and physicality spears brought but the trio of Cooley, Thomas and Benefield have help minimize his loss with their high level of play

He had a good 1st start and heard in a post game interview his Dad is former bad arse Saint, Fred Thomas.
