He is who we thought he was

LSU has never had a better combination of coaching prowess and coming to BR at the right time of his career, that’s for sure.

Saban was an elite tactician the way Kiffin is when he got here in 2000, but he wasn’t at a point in his career yet where he knew this was the stop he would be defined by. He always had the NFL in his mind, and his eventual exit was inevitable imo. Plus, as crazy as it sounds, he wasn’t fully baked asa HC yet. It was clear when he returned to Alabama he was a different coach, and the rest is history.


Kiffin has already gone through his Miami realization, and he now fully understands needing to find the right place to build his ultimate legacy, and he took absolute hell for making the move to get here because he knows it’s what he will be remembered for.


Saban said frick the short term ramifications of leaving Miami the way he did because he saw his potential future at Alabama. Kiffin sees the same at LSU and I’m so happy he accepted the shite he knew the media would throw at him to come here and build his Dynasty.

It’s the dawn of The Golden Age of Lane bass, and it’s going to be fricking glorious.
