Outside of the wow runs I’ve been underwhelmed with leavitt honestly

You'll get downvoted but you are spot on. He's no doubt an athlete but I'm not so sure about quarterback. Skataboo took a lot of pressure off of him at ASU. His decision making is suspect. He's not particularly accurate. I haven't seen him make one touch throw so I doubt we see any fades and his deep throws are wishes and a prayer.

Great escapability and dynamic runner and he's not bad on throws over the middle.

He's also come in late in games against worn down defenses, back ups, and no pressure. He's also had the fortune of playing with some of the 1s on offense against those tired defenses and backups. He looks great, but you can't compare Leavitt in the 1st quarter of a tie game to Clark in the 4th quarter of a blow out.

Clark has one of the quickest releases I have seen in a while. He is also very decisive and accurate. He also can scramble as well as Leavit. Don't know if he can beat out Leavit but Kiffin won't hesitate to change QB's if necessary. Bottom line is we are in good shape at QB.

Leavitt is an average passer , 61% career completion percentage

Landen Clark was a 55% passer in the Coastal Athletic Conference last year.

Players absolutely can get better. But you would think LSU fans know better to be cautious about backup QBs and especially the way Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels played in their 1st year.

Joe Burrow was compared to Danny Etling and the whole fanbase wanted Garrett Nussmeier to play over Jayden Daniels ( ).

Let's not forget about the infatuation with Myles Brennan and all the people that we upset that he couldn't beat out Burrow.

The offensive line and the pressure Leavitt sees on every other drop back is more concerning.
