Do you know the recruiting status of Russian Post Player?

The advocate ran an article today that the roster is set for next year but they were hoping to land one more player.
I’d assume that would be the Russian .
That’s all I got .

I would assume there’s a lot of paperwork involved with something like this. Lots of boxes to check before it can be official.

Didn’t seem to be an issue with the Spanish girl .
Maybe it’s different being that it’s Russia

I would think being from Russia would make quite a bit of difference.

I would think if we don’t hear something in the next couple of weeks , then it’s not happening.

The advocate said the roster isn’t finalized, plan to add at least one more, maybe two.
Russian player is committed to LSU but paperwork and logistics probably take longer coming from Russia of all countries. Have to go through an academic clearing house etc

Things have slowed down, but the LSU women’s basketball team isn’t quite ready to call it quits on an unexpectedly eventful offseason. Coach Kim Mulkey and her staff are still expected to add at least one more newcomer to the roster they’ve spent the last month retooling.

Vetting process takes much longer from Russia, delays with very limited exceptions, especially since their invasion of Ukraine. US has suspended most immigration visas from Russia (exception for elite athletes). All US consular's offices in Russia are closed. They have to go to other countries (who have diplomatic ties to US) to process their immigration paperwork and interview. Some of those countries who are processing Russian visas are overwhelmed and also strict in vetting process with long wait times for appointments.
