Says Les Miles. I guess he has no love lost for Jamarcus who was nothing if not a pure passer. Flynn was a game manager who could run and pick up the key pass - not a pure passer by any means.

So where you live, JaMarcus Russell has played at LSU since Matt Flynn has?

Well, saying he was the best pure passer since Matt Flynn means that he is not the best pure passer since Jamarcus Russell...

You could just as easily look at it another way and say that Miles thinks he can be as good as Flynn, but not comparable to Jamarcus.

well flynn started after russel so if he holds JR in higher regard his statement is still accurate

Sinceis the key word. Jamarcus Russell started, thenMatt Flynn started. Therefore, Lee is the best pure passer sinceFlynn. It isn't that hard to figure out.

He said best pure passer (this also includes accuracy and touch), not best at throwing the ball the furthest on one knee.

I think Flynn was more of a liability than you would like to admit.

I love matt flynn but he was not a great passer. Everyone i know was pissed at out passing game that whole year except the auburn pass. he was a great game manager/leader with a great D, running game, and o line. Yes jamarcus is a nfl bust but he was a passer

Kind of wonder how JJ and Garrett feel about that statement.

Didnt Matt Flynn come AFTER Russell?

Hell, you probably see it as a slight to Bert Jones too.
