Yuat Alok is the guy Wade is likely to finish the basketball recruiting class with...

...he's a 6-11 post guy from New Zealand, of all places. Currently at Chipola JC in Florida, which is where Heier used to be the head coach.
Very raw. Only averaging about 10 points and 3 rebounds a game at Chipola right now after averaging 8 and 5 last year.
But you can afford to take a raw player in the post with this last spot. You've already got Naz Reid and Kavell Bigby-Williams, plus you've got Days who's a 4 in Wade's scheme (and Sims, Rachal and Alexander who can play some 4 for you), plus Mayan Kiir who should be ready to play some minutes. Alok is a guy you can develop, and maybe even redshirt next year, and then have in the post rotation for two years following that.
Here's his NJCAA stat page, and here's his highlight reel from last year.
The marquee recruit left on LSU's board is Emmett Williams. They're not going to take Emmett Williams. Not with Bo Bahnsen's compliance department.

He said the day before LSU played Alcorn St. that indications were Emmitt Williams would not be charged.
To be fair he didn't mention recruiting but Wade was in the studio (they had just finished interviewing him) .... so I took that as they were still recruiting Williams. Hanny mentioned it in the shout section of the 104.5 app during his show.
Pretty sure, otherwise Hanny would have just typed out that LSU was no longer recruiting him.

Reading your discription of him all i could say is no way we need a jc big man with raw talent that’s not even dominant on the boards then i watched his highlights and said he would wreck shop here.. come on down

Bill on 24/7 seems to think Williams is LSU bound if the charges are dropped.

I'm not saying he's guilty or not. the last I checked in people were saying he admitted to what he did, so everyone just threw their things in the air and walked away from the topic.

You have a link? I've read many articles on this guy and I haven't read anything that makes me think he won't be charged. Granted, everything I've read is basically the same story. Wouldn't let her leave, raped her, admitted it in text exchange with her friend. What's the other side?

They won't know what the story with Williams will be until the spring. And by then if the charges are dropped there might be a ton of competition for him, and lots of variables could come into play - like for example if Days blows up at IMG like it looks like he will, in which case it might be a little difficult to promise Williams the playing time some of the other schools who'll be jumping in can, and so forth.
Whereas Alok is a kid they can close on now. And the pressure to play him before he turns pro is nothing like it would be with Williams - or at least that's the previous assumption; I don't know if these charges would affect his draft stock and reduce his chances of being a one-and-done.

Of course, the other piece is that they might end up taking both.
To do that would mean somebody on the roster who's scheduled to return, won't. I wouldn't hazard a guess who that might be, though.

It is his girlfriend. I know you can get a rape charge for this but it sounds like she was in a hurry to go somewhere and he wanted a quickie

Williams just seams like an undersized high energy PF. Someone who would thrive in cbb, but is almost a dime in a dozen in the nba. If the charges never occurred was he really a certain one and done guy?
