Near 5* who was a starter last year.... He is a real burner (one of the fastest in America) who is projected as a 2-3 round pick, maybe first round if he bulks up. Transferring because there is just to much talent in front of him with 4 5*'s and 3 high 4*s in the receiving room. Says alot when Alabama is looking at the portal. Is there a possibility here??

He’s probably going back home to Missouri if I had to guess

If he’s not good enough to get on the field with Bama, then he’s not getting PT with LSU - not at WR.

He was ohio state's 3rd wideout last year. I wouldn't use the final scholarship on him

Well WR is Bama's deepest and arguably best position where as we have one guy that can play right now. So I don't necessarily agree with this statement.

Yeah that looks like a good one. Glad I didn't paste a youporn link in the quote instead.

I know Jameson and his Dad...

Bama is what Dad says, apparently nick has been calling him the whole time while he was at OSU. Have him sold because Nick said, they "really need him".

I warned them, thats all I can do.

Nick or the wide receivers coach? I have a hard time believing saban has been calling this receiver the whole time he's been there

Good point, they said Nick, but people do exaggerate.

Id bet Nick made a couple of calls, but doubt he was the main one. Either way, he convinced them bama 'needs' him at WR.

Nick might be the most tireless recruiter ever. It's crazy how many people he personally calls every single day.

I'm not saying it is true, but it isn't hard to believe for me.

ETA:

Orgeron does this too actually. It is unfortunately the way to get ahead these days.

Yeah I absolutely believe Nick could have been calling him frequently. Orgeron does that too. Lots of top recruiting Head Coaches prioritize even very short calls to dozens of players daily. It's effective.

The kid is really, really good and I would want him to.....but with 6 WR's just as good as him his snaps were going to be considerably reduced at OSU, especially with freshmen Emeka Egbuka and Marvin Harrison jr looking very polished. That's the deepest WR room I've ever seen.

I don't think LSU will be very interested in this Ohio State transfer WR. If you watch Bama's spring game it' easy to see they're thin in experienced WR's, with only Slade Bolden, who's never produced much other than special teams, & Metchie projected to start at WR. Then it's freshmen early enrollee Agiye Hall & some other inexperienced players at WR. That's probably why Saban is looking to sign this transfer WR- experience.

Bama lost a lot of good experienced players and three of their four offensive position coaches. O'Brien the new OC is being forced to learn Sarkesian's offense well enough to teach it and make calls from. They also have an inexperienced QB and will have to replace 3 of 5 starting O-linemen on top of the new coaches. I think LSU will have a good shot to beat them in 2021.

It's sick how stacked ohio state is at receiver.

Marvin harrison jr.looks nothing like a true freshman running routes.

I watched some of their spring game and they have an embarrassment of riches. I'm envious of their qbs

And LSU isn’t even thinner? We have Boutte. And then a list of older guys who have never performed and hopefuls in Moore, Lee, and Palmer. LSU is going to be relying on a true freshman to step on campus and contribute immediately. Not a great position to be in.

I despise Bama. Not because I thought we needed him, would get him, etc. Just because.
