Bell seems to be more of a straight line speed guy. Prolly faster than Wooten. Wooten has better moves and athleticism.

That is a very correct observation, well assumption on your part.

Wooten is that receiver who can catch a one yard pass and make defenders miss and get up field, LSU has lacked that since Green.

Sucks to lose him, but a WR class of Randle, Bell, and Benton isn't exactly bad.

But 2 things come out of this: 1.) We NEED to get Randle and 2.) Hopefully we can use the open scholly for someone we were looking hard at but didn't offer because of #'s (Sentimore finally?)

I remember someone saying he gave LSU fans the Gator Chomp at one of his highschool games or seomthing, and if he is a big UF fan it would be very stupid of UF to not show him alot of love.

We basically bunked this myth and if true decided he was just kidding around. He has been here multiple times on his own dime and planned to come at least a couple of more times. We are a very serious player for Debose........and by the way, it is DEbose.

He's a Demetrius Byrd clone.

Well if thats an accurate opinion then I hate that we missed on him but if he thinks he is better off at UGA then best of luck to him. However, reeling in Debose would ease my pain quite a bit. I hope we get him in the end. I know there are mixed opinions as to where we stand with him but if his family payed for two trips out of their own pockets to get him here, I think we are a very serious competitor for his signature.

Not at all. He has no where near the speed of Byrd, and is by far more shifty in the open field.

Yeah I just don't understand committing in the first place then. It's not like he came to BR and was wowed and committed the next day.

He had it down to us and UGA, and set a date in advance. Now he's scheduled to visit here this weekend but he's going to decommit and commit to UGA? Was their blowout loss to a top tier SEC team more impressive than our blowout loss?

Something just doesn't add up.

I think this is a big loss. He is going to be really good. Especially if he gets a little bigger and stays as mobile. Hope we make up for it though.

Not taht big of a deal to lose a future return specialist. Opens up a scholly for a bigger need.

More surprised he CHOSE LSU than him switching.

Don't see why this would be anything other than what we see every year w/ kids switching commits

+1

Wooten was down to Georgia and the Tigers all the way. He was hot on the Tigers after camp this summer, and the commitment eventually came. But consistent contact with coaches at UGA and a trip to Athens for homecoming is always a good time. Nothing more than what it appears, IMO.

Kind of took the wind out of my sails there Ro. So I guess this means no backwards good news for us with DeBose

Ro, do you believe we stand on pretty good ground with DeBose? I've seen a lot of mixed opinions on here. I saw the thread that said we were in his top three but some are giving him no chance to leave the state of FLorida.

Haven't read the whole thread but can someone explain or point to why he switched? Seemed like everyone thought he was going to UGA in the first place and then surprised everyone committing to us...now he switches to UGA.
