8-8 in SEC play since. that is not close to contending for national championships. just sayin.

We can't play that "game." Trovon said that he wanted to see something new in his life. Nothing wrong with that. Best of luck to him. As always, never act like aggies and wish ill will on a kid. Texas ATM is garbage in almost every major male sport. We're better than that.

We were 13 points away from playing Florida in the SEC Championship game(had Bama and lost in the 4th,Clock management-Ole Miss). We were playing for a NC,last year. This year, hasn't started. Whats your point??

if you're going to count the bama and ole miss IFS you have to count the Miss St, Georgia, and Arkansas IFS. we were fortunate to even be in a position to beat ole miss and the interception non call doesn't equal a TD for us. we're just as close to going 7-5 on the year as we were to playing florida in atlanta...actually closer considering the circumstances. either way we're not that close right now is the point i'm making.

Maybe right, maybe wrong. The good thing is, we get to do it all over again in 2010 and find out.

Yes, currently. We just won 2 years ago and won 3 years before that. Hence, we're currently competing for championships.

You actually could make the case that Auburn is, as well, because they went undefeated a few years back and got snubbed. Also, they're playing in a conference that puts a national title contender in the title game nearly every year.

So LSU and Auburn are BOTH competing for championships, yet LSU wins those championships while Auburn drives around in a limo trying to recruit preppy kids to enjoy their amazing new locker room.

Sucks to be him.

Could have played at LSU and been a local hero.

Now, he's just another player from another school.

Hope it works out for him.

I don't know if it sucks to be him, but he definitely chose the lesser school of the two.

I hope it doesn't work out for him, because he's a traitor and he's the enemy now.

True, but the point is ;on the plus side,we were right there. Just a couple breaks(PP,with the cramps-getting screwed by refs, and a Time-out in the Ole Miss game) and we were in the NC semi-finals. We did struggle in alot of games, and It wasn't pretty, but you can't say we weren't that close, cause that isn't factual.

how silly. Do you feel bad now? That was his purpose.

Believe that one, and I have a bridge in Brooklyn I can sell to you.

this is true, but if i were betting i would lean towards another 8-4 type of season in 2010. anyway...

We lost all four games by a combined 23 points - I'd call that being pretty damn close.

also, the Florida game hinged on an offense holding play on which they scored their only TD. The fumble later was OUT, nose touching the ground, with P P jumping up and down.

Ah well. Next time.

Very happy with our haul of wide receivers. I think Reed is now the one who looks kind of bad for not staying in state when he was really wanted and recruited by the top in state school.

you guys steadily dragging this guys name through the mud.

Let the kid go to Auburn. Who gives a shite? He handled the process the right way. Good luck to him...and you guys that keep accusing him of being scared of competition and hates La. blah blah blah.....

get a life. ...and some class while you're at it.

the only FACT i care about is LSU is 8-8 in SEC play in 08-09. i'm not into moral victories and hopefully Alleva and company arent either.

eta..i'm really happy that miles and his staff reeled in a great class today, but if we go 8-4 this year it's time to show him the door because someone can take the talent we have and contend with it.
