With a complete overhaul of staff and roster it’s gotta be difficult selling the NFL side

LSU is known for its wide receivers and DBs over the last two decades obviously. How difficult is it to sell that brand to recruits when no one at LSU is responsible for that anymore? I love that we got Brown, so I assume we are relying on alums to do some recruiting for the program?

The same way we were not known for QBs either, now Joe Burrow had the BEST season of any QB in hissery and these young dudes unknowingly say “Well LSU always puts QBs in the league” even know the GOAT is the only great one in the last decade. None of the recruits say Russell Wilson went to NC St and then Wisconsin, that they’re putting dudes in the league it’s always what have u done lately, lately it’s LSU w/ QB- Joe, DB- Greedy, Delpit,Flott, Stingley WR- Jefferson, Chase, Marshall, Chark, LB- White, Clark, it’s a revolving door no matter who the coaches are these kids just see Facts.

Pretty sure Brian Kelly was responsible for sending some WR's and DB's to the NFL at his previous stops. The same can be said for his staff. Sure, it wasn't at LSU, but they still have plenty to sell from past history.

LSU has been putting WR and DB’s in the league for decades under many different coaches.

How though? Kids still talk about "LSU" putting guys in the league. We went through multiple coaches at WR, OL, RB, LB, DL, DB, OC, DC, and HC during the last 2 decades, and we only got better putting guys in the league. This will not change with Kelly and his crew. Going by the trend set at LSU, it will be going at a high clip.

You sell the school and the NFL. LSU perennially is first or second in the # of players in the NFL. They are currently as a group the highest paid group of players in the NFL having contracts totaling nearly a 1 billion dollars. They are also the 4th or 5th most watched team on TV. I forget which. These facts are impressive even if you don’t know a coach’s name. LSU is its own brand.
