I know it worked out well with the two we got but LSU could hit a home run tommorrow or it could be a strikeout. Either way i guess life will go on Anyone want to make guesses so we can come back tommorrow and be like told you so.

I hope this 5 for 5 doesn't go the same way the last 5 for 5 went. That's what caused me to no longer be interested in LSU recruiting.

We did win that 5 for 5, though.

Umm...Why? The two we got (Fournette and Adams) were 1st rounders. 2 (Brown and Noil) won't sniff NFL playing time and Willis is prob in jail by now. What am I missing?

I'm sure he gets that. We made out like a bandit, luckily.

Its more about the actual day, after months and months of building up suspense, and being completely let down. Not about hindsight.

That shite took me out of recruiting for a bit too. Not worth it to get emotionally invested.

The 5 for 5 is a reason why you should follow recruiting but not freak out if we don't get all the recruits or get over joyed when we do. You have to wait and see how they pan out. Clearly missing out on Tony Brown, Speedy, and Willis did not hurt at all, but the melt was real. The melt was also real when we missed on Hootie. Instead we got Adams which was way better. The Gumps defense improved when Hootie got hurt and the younger guy stepped in.

A lot of people back then ignored signs that Speedy and GWIII were not interested in LSU, but the signs were there.

Seems like Tony Brown was the only one that was a huge shock when he signed with Bama.

From my observations, Surtain seems to be the lock. Next likely is Chase. Foster and Goodrich are up in the air and wouldn't surprise me either way.

Exactly what I meant. I know who we got and I know what happened with everyone else. Losing a guy to Bama, Aggie and UF was sickening.

For sure. There were also character flags for all 3 we lost, which have proven to be true.

If it comes with another Fournette and Saban to Texas rumor, I'll be ok with it

Donte Jackson is way better than Tony Brown and accomplished way more in his time at LSU than Brown will at Bama

Yes, it will be, in the sense that LSU will land two studs.
