As good as Roy is, and damnit he is exceptional when he is focused, that is obvious, Campbell is a phenom.

One run play in the second half as soon as the ball was hiked he broke down, engaged Roy, and got lower while moving his feet 90 to nothing and pushed his arse back about 3 yards. Lightning quick feet, his balance and hand coordination is just freakish for a kid his age.

If Neville doesn't beat WM this season they may never ever beat them again. They have the better team. But somehow, some damn way they will find a way to lose.

I don't think U-High understood the fight they were stepping into.

That is exactly how to put it.

Neville is not going to lay the frick down at home, ever. They looked like shite the week before against Ruston, and tonight they played better, but still not exceptional. University made plays but damn the penalties, the turnovers, the lack of concentration and effort or energy on both sides at times was a head scratcher. I think they thought they would just play their game and win.

I expected way more and I think the fans at Neville did too. University should be better prepared than freaking Ruston.

Speaking of Ruston, if Baugh ever gets a loaded class come through his program they are going to win state one day. He is a hell of a coach. They are 0-2 but by gawd they played two behemoths on the road to the wire--acadiana and Neville.

Another team that has a shot at WM with a better team now that WM QB is done for the year that will find a way to lose. The fear is real and it is palpable.

So any of you North La boys know anything about where he is leaning to? Are they (family) LSU people?

Don't know anyone at Neville personally, but have heard the family is LSU fans.

The strip sack game after he just manhandled Campbell

No he didn’t. Campbell released up field to the lb and Roy blew up a 170lb WR on that play. You can clearly see it on the KNOE highlights. Roy got worked by Neville’s OT’s all night. He was winded by the 2nd quarter.

If Neville’s wr’s don’t drop 4 balls right in their hands that score gets even more lopsided.

Better be wrapped as tight as a burn victim and not playing QB.

Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. But WM is notorious for playing kids when they shouldn't be.

You know teams are going to be T'ing off like a bull seeing red every chance they get. Can't imagine a doctor releasing a kid for a full season with a scholarship in tow.

Unless they found the perfect 2nd option.

I think if you talk to 10 people from West Monroe half say he is coming back and half say he is done

Apparently 2nd doc said no risk of further injury with rest and rehab. Again just what I've been told. Personally if it was my kid he would sit out, but not my call.

Correct, he isn't related to Guy Campbell. Guy Campbell has 2 daughters that are cheerleaders at Neville. No relation to Will other than being schoolmates.

IseeWYDT

Of course!!! Problem is you aren't resting when you are practicing and playing for possibly 8-11 weeks depending on playoffs.

A good coach would shut that down and not allow them to play.

Kevin Durant also likely received similar news himself.

What are the risks when you aren't resting and rehabbing but rather playing and throwing a football?

This is crazy talk.

The play was designed that way; touch and go. Campbell is to bump the DE (Roy) and hit the LB (in which he did). The RG pulls; between RG and the 2 RBs you've got 3 blockers on the QB's backside. The play was executed as designed, but unfortunately Roy beat the backside blocks and made the sack. Both Campbell and Roy did their jobs on this play. Roy is an outstanding senior DE and Campbell is an outstanding sophomore OT. Maybe we get to see them both wearing purple and gold one day...or should I say, hopefully?!
