Who are the 4? Mett, Rivers, Randall and?

Or Ware?

I don't think Foster will be relied upon for anything except the scout team. The only walk-ons that ever factored, even a little, were guys like Hatch, Mauck and McCartney and we all knew their stories.

I wouldnt call him fatter than Ro because that implies that its bad weight he has. If you see him in pictures and videos hes defiantly not fat.

Probably too slow for Chiefs defense anyway.

too bad you're an LSU fan and not a fan of a shitty school because that strategy may work there. You guys have enough DE's to where you don't have to move soft QB's.

Patrick millers to transfer? When did miller transfer? He never enrolled at LSU. I understand ur argument, but you are using shitty examples to support it.

You take hime cus we are an injury away from having only 2a scholarship qbs. Something people have complained about since 2008.

Well, for starters, Rivers had offers from Jimbo Fisher at Florida State and Jim Harbaugh at Stanford.

We've been recruiting Liggins all year, before Kiel, during Kiel and after Kiel. He was always a take. Nothing has changed in regards to Liggins aside from a harder push now. He is a talented QB. Don't let his size fool you. He has a good arm, is a leader, makes good decisions and is very athletic. He has run a sub 4.7 forry before but I will say that I don't think it's a sustainable time. Before Kiel came along he was at the top of everyone's wishlist with Anthony Alford. We need a qb in this class. Never want a situation like Perriloux,Jefferson and Lee ever again. We are dangerously close to that. What if Mett gets hurt or leaves early? Do we really want to rely purely on Rivers and Randall in that situation? Doesn't exactly instill confidence. I like Randall a lot and think if he's coachable, he has top qb skill but I'd prefer he had another year or 2 to develop. We'll still go after a top notch qb next year regardless of Liggins.

Talking to the Rantards is tough to do. Liggins is an elite jumbo athlete prospect who has offers from Bama, USC, UGA, Auburn, Nebraksa, etc....he must be terrible.

And the only offers he has to play QB are Ole Miss and Miss State. There is a reason for that.

lsufanva, I agree that the staff has always liked Liggins and kept him near the top of their board. And they seem to want a QB in this class. I just don't see the need to have three freshman QB (two red, one true) bunched up on the roster. I actually think having so many young QBs makes signing a top quality QB next year more difficult. I would prefer passing this year considering the options (no pun) and take a quality pocket passer in next year's class.

Still, it looks like we will have plenty of room in this class so I think we will take Liggins. Perhaps he will agree to play TE or DE. I just hope the coaches are upfront with him on that possibility.

Exactly - just like when we recruited Russell Shephard, the BEST dual rated QB in the country.

If we do not want to give him a shot at a need position like QB, then move him somewhere else.

Most horrible job imaginable of recruiting at a need position for YEARS

If we just had an above average (not very good or even great) QB, we are probably looking at another crystal or so ......

Kiel cost us a HIGHLY rated OL too because we could NOT COUNT AGAIN.

CHAVIS, BRICK AND COOPER have bailed out Miles BIG TIME the last 2 years. Without those coaches, Miles would have never had the last 2 double digit wins seasons and may be unemployed.

MILES - Please Do your job and fix the OFFENSE.

I think after the Perri11oux saga, it's safe to take 1 QB per year and let them develop under upperclassmen and coaches. You don't want it coming down to FR or RSFR like the year Lee tossed 342 pick-6s. For next season, this is what we're working with:

Zach Mettenberger Jr.
Stephen Rivers RS Fr.
Jerrard Randall RS Fr.
Jared Foster RS Fr. (P-Squad)

With inevitable attrition, we need someone in this class.
