4.5 40 yard dash.

I don’t think this is really necessary. The guy has a different opinion than you. I do believe rankings may be off on a majority of kids with Covid restrictions on camps and such, but that works both ways. Plus, you just never know until they strap on and get their first taste of college, then SEC action.
I’m rooting for all the kids in this class, and I think lsuismyfav is too, he just doesn’t view bech as a big talent.
The majority of us disagree, but there’s only one way to find out and it’ll be a while before that happens
I would like to see that user actually provide reasons why he believes that instead of pointing to offers. Based on his logic, guys like Khalil Mack, clay matthews, etc weren’t good enough to play college ball based on offers

(The majority of us disagree, but there’s only one way to find out and it’ll be a while before that happens) its one thing to make a statement but to feel the need to say it several times is MAKING A STATEMENT.

If that’s what you took from that, it’s on you

He is four stars on Rivals, which sends its evaluator (Sam Spiegelman) to see these guys in-person on multiple occasions.
Are his offers different on Rivals?

I love me some Shea Dixon, but the 247 evaluator (Gabe Brooks) doesn’t ever come to Louisiana.
Coaches come to Louisiana, did they offer him?

I actually think that he is a big talent, just not as good as you all think. Being ranked in the top 500 is big to me.

I have only said that he's not as good as you all think. I never said he wasn't good enough to play college or for LSU. Khalil, Clay, Bech, etc had/has plenty of college offers, of course they are good enough to play college.

That was not meant towards you but the one who made that original statement, sorry for the confusion.

Like Kyle Williams, the #1 DT last year, top 5 DE this year, top 5 RB this year, plenty of TEs every year, LBs every year?

What is the chance of Bech playing strong safety. He is a very tough, skilled player. I saw him play safety at STM.

He’s not.

I’m using your reasoning of poor offers to reflect that that isn’t a good indicator all the time.
Copper Kupp: Eastern Washington
Adam Theiland offers out of high school: Zero
Khalil Mack’s offers out of high school: Buffalo
Aaron Rodgers offers out of high school: ZERO
Antonio brown offers out of high school: ZERO
Carson Wentz offers out of high school: Missouri valley teams and a few FCS
David Johnson offers out of high school: northern Illinois and Illinois state
Offers do not always indicate talent level

I can list 100x the names of players that had the same offers that they did indicate their talent level. Would you agree?

Of course. And we could do this song and dance over and over again.
Another crazy part, while history of these ratings typically do a decent job of projecting player ability levels, they are not always 100% accurate.
After watching Jack dominate upper level Louisiana defenses, I believe Bech is one of those guys may have slipped through the cracks for whatever reasons, we see it every year

I think A LOT of top 500 players have great college careers.
You could definitely be right, as an LSU fan I hope he outperforms his rankings.

Sort of like with visits with recruits, watch where they go and not what they say
With bech, its look at the production
The knock on him is top end speed.
He has strong hands and will catch everything. Looks like he can win a jump ball.
He will do fine in this offense. Someone said he runs low 4.5 and i dont see that

Very much agreed on all parts!

He may not be a guy who’s gonna take the tops off of defenses like some of the speedsters we’ve seen in college football, but every team needs a sure handed receiver who you know will get you the first down. He’s also willing to do the dirty work in the blocking department. I think the biggest attribute of bech is his physicality, it just brings a certain attitude to the locker room that we’ve missed this year

He is a taller version of Juice. He is the comparison. Strong, physical, great hands, tough, excellent route runner, will go over the middle and hood speed. Juice is not a blazer , but managed to have a great LSU career and record setting first 3 seasons in the NFL. Bech is the exact same type of player and build, just a couple inches taller.
