None of these kids are misses by LSU. However, it's a big hit to other in-state schools to not land these kinds of kids.
Looking at their coaching roster, I only see 2 coaches with a Louisiana connection.
Marty Biagi: Biagi got his start in collegiate coaching as a graduate assistant at Arkansas and has served as the co-defensive coordinator at Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2011) and special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach at Southern (2012-14).
and
Neil Callaway: Neil Callaway is in his second season at Purdue and his first as the assistant offensive line coach. [...] Callaway and his wife, Karen, have two sons, Russ and Clay, a daughter, Kate, and four grandchildren. Russ is an analyst for the LSU football team.
I wonder if Russ Callaway is sending recruits that LSU passes on up to his dad.

Agreed about Deville. Watched this kid a couple time this season.
He’s one of those kids that makes outrunning everyone on the field look effortless. Like he was running at 50% and he outran kids by 20 yards. Ridiculous.

5 players…that’s more like a low pressure poly-tubing line.

Precisely high 3* SEC
4* BG1 , usually southern skilled players show out up North, Speed kills

The QB Starks at Dutchtown several years ago was a WR at Purdue too. The one who caused Lindsay Scott to “transfer” to Zachary.

As of today, I don't think Purdue really has or is a legitimate threat to sign a LA kid that LSU really wants...
However, what you don't want to happen is for a Big 10 team (even if it is Purdue) to have lots of success with a bunch of LA kids to the point that they can approach a 4 or 5 star and say "look at the LA kids that played here that are now in the league"...that eventually could become problematic if they get things rolling.
