They are all important but you win and lose in the trenches that is why Willis is the #3 guy and it will be enjoyable to see him in purple and gold whipping his bros team.

I think the more important question is , who is our ideal 25th recruit ?

This is sort of a loaded question. Obviously the biggest thing to factor in is the recruit's ability to help our team, but getting a lot of these guys also keeps a great player from our competition.

For instance, I think Garrett will have a bigger impact at LSU than Speedy, but if we miss out on Garrett he's likely going to Ole Miss/Tenn, whereas Speedy goes to A&M. Losing an elite playmaker to a team like A&M that we face every year hurts us more than losing a LB to Tennessee (a doormat) or Ole Miss (maybe the 4th toughest team we play each year).

My simple answer is still Garrett. He's probably the most talented LB prospect to favor LSU in a decade, and I have no doubt that Chavis maximizes his potential. Next would be Willis, Dupre, Noil and Hootie.

Robinson
Willis
Brown
Dupre
Leonard F.

Bill Polian always said most important positions on the f.b. field is 1)qb 2)l.t. to protect the qb 3)pass rushing end to sack the qb 4) lock down corner 5) pass rushing d tackle.

Not to sound like I'm going against Polian, because he's a football genius, but college isn't the NFL, and those rules don't necessarily apply. I mean, we went 13-0 a couple of years back with an absolute bum at QB. Also, why would Dupre be ahead of LF? LSU has a history of misusing WRs, but we always seem to produce solid RBs and LF looks like a "can't miss" guy. Are we even sure Dupre will be better than Randle?

I'd go Noil. Kid is a game changer. After that I would say GWIII or Garrett, gotta stop the run in the SEC.

I can't speak for the kids up north that I don't know but if Willis commits the others will follow i'm speaking of Speedy and Leonard and Dupree because all of these kids actually hang together and Ive heard them all talking telling BigGee if he go to LSU they will too. GW III,SPEEDY,LF are real good friends. Believe me or not but I be around these kids a lot.

And we all know where Big Gerald is going.

ETA: And in other news, it looks like we'll be getting Clifton Garrett's last two OV's. Last three really when you consider the only fact he's going to the Ole Miss game to watch us play on the road. I think that's pretty telling on where he's going to end up.
