Since we lost 4 scholarships on this years recruiting class, that gives us only 3 available spots left to fill. I think dline will get at least 2, if not all 3 remaining spots. We miss out on Leigh, BTJ, Green, Byrd, and McKinstry. This is a huge blow to the future of the LSU program that was already looking ahead after this horrendous start to the 2020 football season.

They just send guys packing who they feel like never would make an impact on the team now. You still get 25 they'll just be less willing to let some guys stick around to possibly develop if they don't show signs they can cut it. Going to process more than usual.

Swing and a miss partna. All that means is we can only have 81 players each of the next two years. It's really not that big of a loss

especially considering we have what... 71 on roster right now? we should've done it retroactive to this year and taken them all now! :-D

Thanks for the kind clarification. I still do believe we miss out on all of the targets I mentioned due to this season's record. You cant say records dont matter then mention being last season's champs as well. BTJ is the only one I think we actually have a chance with because we have proven we have to pass the ball 40+ times a game just to stay in games. The 2 dlinemen are a must but UGA is hard to beat. They offer alot. We will be taking the back seat to better SEC teams for the next 2-3 years. Hopefully recruiting produces another great LSU team sooner than later. GEAUX TIGERS!

Do you follow this stuff closely? When has a teams record been the end all be all for getting players..you dont lose two games out of the last 17 and automatically start losing recruits. It doesnt kill recruiting because it also shows that we get guys to the nfl quickly, we play on a big stage, and there are starting positions to be won early

Has there ever been a more clueless poster on recruiting in the history of this board?

And no crap we have never been anything but long shots for 3/5 of the recruits you listed.

2 out of 17 hahaha come on now. 2 out of the last 3. stop using last season as a crutch for this season's horrendous performance. Bo was a bad hire. We are lucky to have not been hit by a wave of decommits and yes recruits do care a lot about the teams record. Alabama and Clemson did not have top recruiting classes until Saban and Dabo started winning and now they are guaranteed a top 5 class every season because they keep winning. LSU won last season and we wont even be in the hunt for 2-3 more years because of the lack of preparation for the future. If they cant turn this season around and at least make a bowl game, that number could be 10+.

ALL TEAMS are bowl eligible this year. Records don't matter. Saban's second class at bama was one of his best. That's before he won his first title. In fact that class was the backbone of his first title team at the capstone.

You need to listen to those people that told you a single season's record doesn't effect a recruit's mind that much.

Clemson has had ONE top 5 recruiting class in his last five. Three of them were ranked in the double digits (10+)
