Who cares if Les pulled the schollie or not

If he did so what. The fact of the matter is that RR and Benton didn't want to go to the same school b/c one wouldn't see the field enough. Benton had two shots at us and he screwed up. We had a decision to make, take receiver A, good grades, great athlete and will play here atleast 3 years. Or take receiver B, grades are ok now but could slack in the future, great athlete as well, but regardless of grades he would only be here 2 years tops and then would move on. So the grade thing aside you should def. choose Rec. A, RR, strictly based on that extra year here right?

No doubt miles pulled his ship, but benton can play one year and be gone. It would be three years out high school. It is what it is.

with the given info les made the right choice. Benton had 2 shots to get his act together and get into LSU. He didn't and now when it came crunch time it was RR that had his stuff ready to go and it had to be done. Also its not like benton got stuck out in the cold and didn't get to go to any school. He is in the sec and at a good school. It sucks for him but he had his shot and he and rr wanted playing time. He now has that. good luck to him until they face us

I don't like Miles making any decisions about other recruits based on what one recruit says/wants. You just can't pull an offer cause one guy asks you too.
You offer who you want, and if they don't like it, screw them.
I hate this decision and wish Les would have stuck to his guns, regardless of the results. RR dictated Les' decision. And that's never good.

I don't believe that shite at all.
Les pulled this kid's scholly because for 2 years he had objectives to meet to play for LSU......Suddenly, weeks before signing day Benton is looking to shop around......
Miles pulled his scholly because he wasn't dependable and because another player of the same position who is qualified wanted his spot.

He was pissed two weeks ago too when Benton went to Auburn. LSU had been very, very, very patient with Benton up to that point, after he did this visit it seemed as if he had burned a few bridges.
Bradshaw can't be upset with Miles as all his other players are getting degrees and proving that LSU can provide an education while being a student athlete.

I think the whole why did Bendton's scholly go is like the chicken and the egg.
Did he go to Auburn first to shop around and thus burn those bridges, or did he get notified of RR's desire not to play with him, and visit Auburn to shore up his options?

As far as Lesticles goes, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but just looking at the circumstances you can see why it looks like a shady deal done to Benton. Was it? Who the fook knows. It'll all come out in the wash and I'll reserve judgment until then.
