Sullivan
Dillon
Giles
Anderson
Stevens
Davis
McMath
Netherly

Marshall
Jenkins
Jones

If anything, we have a ton of X and Y receivers and could benefit from more slot guys.

Based on our roster, Keys would seem to be the only WR consideration at this point.

Honestly haven't seen much of that kind of talk.. maybe I missed those threads. Imo, we got plenty WRs and Giles will be newcomer of the year. He's gonna be a beast in the slot esp running those jet sweeps!

ppl are saying we need more than what we currently have on the roster/ signed?

also, add Jefferson and subtract Stevens from the guys already on campus. pretty sure Stevens went back to defense full time. but of course that can change...

You don't pass on Chase for keys.

Plus who said you have to be a small short WR to play in the slot?

Looks like a super good group to me!

Guess we always use another top athlete.

I hear what you are saying. Its mostly coming from a lack of experienced WRs, not a lack of talented bodies.

Chase is rated as high or higher by some services as Marshall. You can't let talent like that leave the state if you can help it.

Slot guys doesn't always mean Wes Welker mold. Which is generally smaller quick guys. Marques Colston, Jimmy Graham played plenty in the slot. I can Sullivan and Anderson in the Colston mold.

Anderson is a deep threat. He's more Devery Henderson or Meachem than Colsten.

No idea what his development has looked like so far, but based on high school film Racey Mcmath would make a good slot receiver. He’s basically a running back with the ball in his hands and all they did at Karr was throw it to him on screens and short routes and he would house one every game.

The “we need a receiver” talk is there bc we don’t have a go to guy anymore. Maybe Giles, Davis or Sullivan step up and become a legit #1 receiver but until then the staff is 100% going to try and land a difference maker at the position. Based on the rankings, Marshall, Chase and even Watkins can potentially be that guy.

Don't have to be small, but I want a quick WR. I saw what Canada was able to do with Gage, and I think keys has similar or more ability.

LSU doesn't really need any more WR, but as stated in previous post Chase is too good. You absolutely take him. Difference maker.

I consider it roster mismanagement for LSU to carry more than 12.

With Stephens moving back to defense it puts LSU 11.

Add Chase and Tigers are set.

Replace Stevens with Jefferson and it’s how I think our roster looks

We need more WR production, not more WRs.

Dillon, Davis, Anderson and Sullivan all need to step up their game.

People are saying this cause our WRs were terrible this year. But the guys coming behind them are more talented. Hopefully they develop

He is a deep threat is because of his 6'-6" height to out jump someone. Devery was a 5'-11" speed threat. Both deep threats, but they couldn't be more different.

No we don’t. We don’t have a single receiver on the roster like Ja’marr Chase. His route running ability and ball skills are off the charts.

CEH can play out of the slot, easily. Provens and Curry are adaptable enough to play there as well - at least situationally.

Marshall and Chase would instantly be the most talent WRs on the roster. You are putting too much into body type and not enough on actual talent.

I'm sure as hell not willing to pass on the clearly physically superior talent just for "scheme" purposes of a coach whose days here are likely numbered.

ETA: Currently, highest rated WR on the roster is Sullivan and Davis @ .94.
Chase is a .96
Marshall is a .99
Keys is a .90
Beyond that, both Giles and Dillon have similar measurables to Keys.
