However, over the years, even if recruits didnt commit to Auburn, they ALWAYS left saying wonderful things about the trip.

I really don't understand how people continue to dog on Auburn... it was recently named a top 10 place to live by USNews, it is the 19th fastest growing metro area in the entire country, we are known for having beautiful women. I understand it is a rivalry and you're not going to like Auburn, but it blows my mind that people continue to act like it is some scourge of the earth, it's a beautiful place that is truly hard not to love if you live here.

I really liked the town, I think, just like most SEC towns (Sans Gainesville, Starkville and Fayetteville), it's an awesome place to be, but there are strengths and weaknesses to it.

The most enticing thing about Auburn is that they don't have NegaTigers for a fanbase.

4. It still has southern girls. Not to the level of an LSU, BAMA, UGA, etc....but they aint shabby
It is every bit on those schools level with female talent. And Auburn is a cool southern college town. One of the best road trips I've been on. Play Grand National on a Friday, hit the bars on Friday night, great tailgating the next day. It is no Athens, GA but neither is any other town in the SEC.

willie williams' writeup of Auburn was amazing
Auburn is an awesome college town and it sounds like you need to get out more.

The quality of life and fresh air in Auburn AL is light years better than it is anywhere in the greater Baton Rouge area.

You have open eyes, and as a result, are no doubt having a full life friend. I love LSU, AU, and lots of other schools, but for someone to suggest that the environment is better in Baton Rouge, LA than in Auburn, AL (or Athens, Oxford, etc.), they simply must be full of ignorance, blinded by an insane home-town fervor or just dumb.

I'll answer: Baton Rouge has higher crime, higher taxes, higher traffic volume, worse schools, worse climate, worse location geographically in several ways, worse infastructure, higher cancer rates, worse air to breath, etc. There are many wonderful people in Baton Rouge and good thinggs about the area too.... and trust me, the sentiments most of these folks are expressing aren't representative of most folks in the Baton Rouge area. Some of these folks are the same folks who still whine about USC for god sake.
