This source details most statistics anyone could ever question about housing in the city of Auburn, Alabama.

The link I provided seems to suggest that your statistic is hogwash.

Seriously, go start a non-leading thread on an Auburn board asking if anyone remembers the article about the percentage of AUburn that lives in trailers. I'll bet someone cops to reading it.

That article was misinformed. I linked you to the statistics given by the U.S Census Bureau.

According to it, there are 1,874 mobile home units within the city of Auburn. That is 7.6% of the housing units in the city and the source gives a 1.4% +/- margin of error.

Now, if you are going to tell me that those housing units consist of over 60%-70% of the cities population, then I find that comical.

ETA: Of course, I won't completely fault you. You were going by the only information given to you by that article.

Auburn also has the highest education level of almost any city in the SEC. 91% of the people 25 or over in the city of Auburn have at least a high school diploma and 56% of those same people have at least one college diploma.

that's because the only thing in auburn is the college

This board paints Auburn much worse than it actually is. I think it has to do with the insecurity of Lache having Auburn as a viable option, as incredulous as that is to some.

Isn't he from a small town in Texas? Plus, he's going to be a college football player; it's not like he'd have time to enjoy the amenities of a larger place.

I think you're right on for the most part. I think most of the insecurity with top recruits all of a sudden jocking Auburn is that whether people will admit it or not... they assume something is going on under the table.

How many of you Auburn bashers have actually been there?

I have a bud that goes there, and I've enjoyed myself on every visit. There are plenty of hot girls, too.

I honestly dont think Max is being series with the no hot girls shtick. I really hope he's not because ime Auburn has better looking women than LSU, but that could easily be sample size.

I'm sure be a football player at Auburn is the shite.

Considering the abysmal coaching record of Chizik and the recent problems at Auburn, is this unreasonable?

was something going on under the table when Saban started to recruit well at LSU after DiNardo had the program in the gutter?

Not at all. I'm just saying it's an interesting position for recruiting fans. You want to stay as unbiased as possible, but there's simply no explanation for the sudden love toward Auburn from guys who before a couple months ago never mentioned the school.

Saban was a proven winner from his MSU days when he took over from DiNardo.

It's not nearly as suspicious. Louisiana is a talent rich state with no other in-state rivals, and Baton Rouge is closer than Austin to several important parts of Texas.

Dinardo was a bad coach, but he could recruit some talented guys to LSU, and it wasn't as if Saban was getting attention from top 10 national recruits several months after coming down to LSU.

He also wasn't 5-19 at Michigan State.
