I agree with the OP. Nothing he said is not objectively accurate. Yes, we all wear purple and gold glasses from time to time. But:

1. LSU is one of the top 10 programs in college football.

2. LSU will be a top 5 team going into 2011 and has the talent and depth to stay there for the foreseeable future.

3. #1 and #2 is not true for either Miss State or Ole Miss.

4. The ONLY position on the field in which we lack legit talent is MLB--the position he plays.

These are all opinions of course but I think anyone with a brain would agree they are pretty close to fact.

being objective about it...

Oxford is a nice college town, and Ole Miss has a nice campus. It's in-state and close to home, and they have produced one of the best LB's in the NFL in Patrick Willis. Houston Nutt can motivate his players.

MSU is also in-state and close to home. Dan Mullen is a young, energetic coach on the rise and he has State on the rise as a program.

Patrick Willis never played for Houston Nutt if that's where you're going. When has Houston Nutt developed anyone on defense that's worth a high draft pick?

Why are you whining about something that hasn't even happened yet? You act like he signed his LOI and sent it off...

Did something happen to spur this post that I missed or is it just because he is actually considering his home state schools?
