Kevin Faulk and it’s not even close.

He proved to kids in state that it was okay and cool to come to LSU.

Very true. If it wasn't for him Saban wouldn't have had the success he had.

So far, based on talent and production, it's pp7. I think stingley could end up being the best.

Think Stingley will wind up being best DB in LSU history.

Note: transfers do not count. And the criteria that I’m going by is career for LSU and NFL.

If this is the criteria you are going by, how in the hell do you have Jamal Adams over Peterson? You stated that you are going by their career, well, Adams hasn't had much of his career yet in the NFL to put him over Peterson.

Right now Peterson is an 8 time pro bowler and 3 time All Pro. He's on the All decade team. Using stats, accolades, duration, and consistency of duration, he has been the best defensive back of the 2010s.

With that said, I believe Adams could be the Peterson of the 2020s in regards to the things mentioned above. Adams is the next Troy Polomalu (yes and first Jamal Adams)

ETA: just read the rest of the comments and people he's not talking excitement or program changing, he is talking pure production and accomplishments. Peterson is arguably the #3 best player from LSU this century, and if you add in the accomplishments of college and the NFL, he is THE best player from LSU this century with his college and NFL accomplishments together.

Russle shepard was fricking huge. I still can't believe we wasted his years should have given him a shot at QB or figured out how to get him in the game.

I’ll always hate how underutilized the guy was. The fact that he’s managed to hang around the NFL for as long as he has while not having much from his LSU days to build off of shows what he could’ve been in college.

should have been switched to WR from day 1 but it still would have been a few years before he would have been able to contribute. Just needed more time to be physically ready to play in the SEC. Remember hearing his bench press max was 185 lbs his freshman year at LSU. Recruiting services in those days would often be way off in their evals compared to these days. But that he made it to the NFL is a credit to MIles staff and to the hard work he put in while at LSU.

At old friend of mine just changed his name. It's a big hassle so it's safe to assume anyone that does it does it for a reason. I'm not totally sure why Patrick changed his name but he went through the trouble to do it. Maybe it was to show respect to a Mr or Mrs Peterson or maybe it was just cause he liked the alliteration of two P's. Either way, it doesn't matter. It's HIS name currently, in 2020 for a reason. He decides that reason, please respect that.

You think PP has a better career than Faulk?

Patrick committed to LSU as Patrick Johnson, he changed his last name in honor of the man who raised and trained him. The rest is history as they say.

Kevin Faulk

Was a top recruit at a time when those guys were likely to leave the state to play for Florida State, Michigan, Miami or one of the powerhouse teams that were regularly on TV. Faulk stayed home and helped begin the turnaround for LSU. He went on to NFL greatness and is now back coaching and mentoring our current Tigers.
