The best rated one is fournette he was good. But was he the best recruit to commit.
Note: transfers do not count. And the criteria that I’m going by is career for LSU and NFL.

Also I believe recruit rankings came out 2001
Not for sure. So any where from that I guess.

Fournette
Russell Shepard
Stingley
Perrilloux

Peterson
Dorsey
L. Collins
Spears
M. Clayton
Whitworth
J. Adams
Landry

A lot of names left off just a lot of 5 star recruits that came to mind.

For me I would say for now
Jamal Adams. He and Peterson were close.

Potentially could be
Stingley

If you go by LSU and NFL production, then it's Peterson and it's not really close.

I understand. He and PP were close for me.
Adams has been the best safety for I would say almost 2 years. I expect him to continue to be dominate. I kinda went off a future prediction.

Biggest recruit at the time of landing them were Kevin Faulk and Leonard Fournette.

They both lived up to it and were monsters.

Playing the - including nfl- game is tricky. Fournette has been in a shitty Situation his entire career.

Derek Stingley was an incredible get too, kid is a monster and seems like a good guy. He’s gonna he so rich.

I’m going by pure excitement level when the player signed.

Landing Fournette was the biggest recruiting win I can remember due to his off the charts hype. He lived up to all of it in college but was stuck in Miles’ offense. Stingley may be the best of them all by the time his nfl career is over.

Kevin Faulk.

Was arguably the best player coming out of high school, could have went anywhere, chose LSU, and went on to have record setting College career and helped New England win 3 Super Bowls.

Hard to top that.

Russle shepard was fricking huge. I still can't believe we wasted his years should have given him a shot at QB or figured out how to get him in the game. I do not remember another recruit recruiting so hard for us in key areas he was huge at LSU, recruiter, veteran smarts type player, and great guy.

Kevin Faulk and it’s not even close.

He proved to kids in state that it was okay and cool to come to LSU.

LSU went into Texas A&M's backyard and took Harvey Williams away from them

I'll say Fournette. If we missed him, he would have gone to bama and won 2 heismans and possibly finished as the greatest college rb for many years. on the surface that sounds best for him, but Saban would have run him into the ground.

it will be STINGLEY!

Prediction: 3 time AA and the First Player Taken in Draft.

wo injury he will get the 3xAA, and only the great need for QBs can stop him from being 1st player taken.

If O lets him get the ball a few times he will be in NY at the Heismann ceremony.

With that criteria, Ryan Perriloux and Gunner Keil were tops for me.

Mistakenly, I thought they were gonna be program cornerstones of multiple national titles.

Yea as of rating. Fournette was ranked highest but what I meant was who was the best. Who do you think is the best 5 star recruit to commit?
