LSU may not get everybody in-state, but I doubt it's solely due to resentment. Everyone has their own individual situation that leads them to go elsewhere.

I'm sorry if it came across that way. No all kids don't feel that way but their is a lot of it. Frank Wilson is a great recruiter and that can't be denied but understand there are people in the state that are put off with the whole if Franks wants you then it's a lock. LSU is going through what UF went through with Urban Meyer. When you are a national brand and recruit nationally. There are some things you give up in your state. Unfortunately, about the time you realize it there are tons of teams in your state raiding your talent. Ask yourself this, why would Florida, Florida St., or Miami leave the state of Florida looking for prospects when there is an abundance in Florida?

This is a great board that a lot of people with good info can share but unfortunately people attack you or the mods threaten you if it's not pro LSU even if the info is true.
you're probably gonna have to understand that it is an LSU board after all, so nobody here is gonna take negative news with a blind eye. it's just the way it is. people are outspoken to the max here and unfortunately, there are almost no filters to that end.

that being said, i'll never get why there's such an anti-LSU sentiment in-state. is it because LSU doesn't take all of its talent from in-state? or is it because high school coaches and other 'handlers' are making it a priority to ensure that LSU is spoken of in a negative light. obviously i'm nowhere near the action, so i'm probably talking out of my arse. But it's a sentiment that I won't understand for the life of me.

You see these kids saying they'll rep the Boot for life, throwing up L's, saying they represent where they came from...yet they resent the one big in-state school that represents THEM?

I understand it, they are trying to do them and represent their block, hood, family, friends, etc. but don't tell me there's a better way of representing for the boot than actually representing for the boot.

There is a lot of in state resentment out there and not just north Louisiana.

At the end of the day it comes to INTEGRITY. I think people on here get upset with how the recruit handle the process. Devall did it the right way, CRob did it the right way, Hootie Jones did it totally wrong. If a recruit is a silent to an OOS school then why the hell string the LSU staff along. That to me reflects not only on the recruit but on the parents also.

So..do you think Fla State would have won the NC without Jameis Winston?

How did you like having Percy Harvin on the UF team?

Who is to say they strung along the staff? I've talked to coaches at Florida about kids and told them what I heard and they don't believe me. And the kid is telling them the same thing and they still don't believe them. They choose to believe what they want to believe and when it blows up in their face then it's " well I guess he was telling the truth!"

One is in legal trouble, one has shoulder issues, one is going to JUCO if I'm not mistaken.

Percy was a once and a lifetime talent. And no FSU doesn't win the national championship without Jameis. I understand your point with Jameis. Just remember there is an in state QB that feels he's just as talented as Jameis and so does his coach and family.
