Hard to fault his decision when he'll start at LT from day 1. LSU's OL is loaded, no way that happens here.

Maybe he was promised the LT spot from day 1, but he would have had it here too by year 2.

Wish he was here, but he's not so all we can do is move on. Just saying, if he redshirted then washed out people could talk shite. When he starts day 1, obviously he made a solid choice.

Let's just hope Willie Allen uses the same depth chart logic.

People give CRob too much credit. He may love Louisiana, but to think he had loyalty anywhere is joke. He ditched his friends and school early on when leaving Ouachita. Many of these kids now only care for themselves and attention. Loyalty is foreign to most. I chalk it up to parenting most of the time.
I have no idea what motivates him etc. Just pointing out in the midst of catching grief from Bama fans about LA he stood his ground. Quite frankly, I was surprised by this. It didn't sound artificial.
My two points:
1) Need to close the gap between the LA state pride and what it means to play for LSU.
2) Out staff did one of the best jobs in recruiting this past season I can recall.

I think the other main topic of speculation from last recruiting cycle is what exactly happened with the crob, cam sims, and hootie recruitment. Jimmy if you could describe what you know happened with all of that behind the scenes that would be interesting to hear and confirm/deny many of the rumors spat about on here. Obviously I know you can't say everything but just a general run down of what happened.

I can go with that and agree with your points

Dude, If people only knew about the role you have been playing against LSU and the "other" dealings in Metairie with a member of a certain family member of a kid that picked UF this past cycle.
Whats really funny, is all that "helping" of Lewis that YOU were doing and he and Muschamp won't even be coaching there in two years. Better start worrying about that scholarship I keep telling you about, new coaching staffs don't owe anything for favors done for fired coaches.
Also, quit your act on here about your love for Les Miles and LSU. Quite a few people here are around U-High all the time and a few more are around in N.O. Parents talk, especially about what other parents are telling their kids.

Tre Jackson is a 2016 recruit and his dad is the former UF player. I know you know that but clarifying for others, I thought you meant tre was a former UF player, he's a commit.

That would be Jack Jackson? Correct?

First of all, I've never steered a kid to UF and unfortunately it's sad that you would put something out there that is not even true. People on here can believe what they want but that's entirely up to them. Did I know Willis was going to UF, yes as I have stated on here. Did I know of others who were positioned to go, yes. But I had know influence on any of that. Am I a Florida Gator at heart yes but I shouldn't have to apologize about that nor have I kept that a secret. And if you know me,then you would know I wear my colors proudly. There have been players that Florida was recruiting on Uhigh's team that I have never spoken one time to their parents about Florida that's not my style. If you don't believe me ask Paul Brumfield( Garrett Brumfields dad) and Edward ( Dylan Moses dad). They are 2 honest men that are pro LSU. People on here take this way too serious and make this personal. It's not personal. As far as my son, UF is not the only school recruiting him and they are not the only school that want him. If your son is fortunate enough one day to have the opportunities that my son has, I would hope that no one comes along and tries to belittle your sons accomplishments as you are trying with mine. As far as Metairie, guy I don't know one single person that lives in Metairie. And if you know Derek the way you say you do then you would know the last time I saw him was at the LSU/Florida game. So there I've cleared up all the lies you tried to put out there. As far as LSU, very big fan. I respect Les Miles 100%. If you go back through my post history, you will see that I have always been pro Les. His family is a great family and I have known them since day one when they moved here from Oklahoma St. Mrs. Miles coached my daughter Dimond AAU basketball team. I helped train Benny Miles and Manny Miles for 3 years with KY Track club. Tre as a child has spent many a nights at Les's house when he and Benny were younger. In 2007, when LSU won the national championship Mrs. Miles gave Tre a national championship rug to go outside his bedroom that stayed there for 2 years. So I'm sorry, no I am not anti LSU nor am I anti Les!

Hey dude, I appreciate your honesty, honestly.
But clue me in. What is KY track club? I've never heard of it.
Or I'm having a brain fart.
ETA: I can't believe we haven't raced y'all. Why don't you ever post in the track thread I tried to get going?

KY is one of the oldest track clubs around. It's been around probably 30 years or more. Coach Choo Choo and other coaches have been there forever. It's the same club that Warrick Dunn and plenty other prominent athletes in Baton Rouge trained with. Great training.
