yes...he continues to claim this BS after it has been proven false time and time again by people who were actually with him

Yeah. Jack is still trying to disagree with TeamLSU on what went on with Davon.

He's so full of shite, it would be funny if he weren't trying to sway one of our commits to go elsewhere.

I actually don't have a problem with Jack. Y'all are letting him get under your skin. I'm just sitting here reading and laughing. Don't let it get you all worked up. What has happened in the past is old news. I honestly don't think he's trying to sway Nick to UT. He's just reporting stuff on here just like any of us would. Take it with a grain of salt and move on. No biggie

We'll disagree on that. He's not the only person on this board that knows someone at UHigh.

I agree with this. let's move on and allow the guy to report his info too. Regardless, the more info the better and I wouldn't want to scare off any other team's fans because it doesn't mesh with what we hear.

Brother Martin's head coach Mark Bonis once told me that the staff at LSU lied to some of his players. I was a senior in his class at the time and just thought no one on the bm football team were good enough for an lsu offer (besides hoefield- current fsu player and clapp who committed to the tigers)

Great info!
I feel when we get Toliver and X.Lewis we will be back on track in the corner back position. Losing T. Brown stung but seeing who we pick up in 2015 (in that same position) makes up for it.

Reminds me of one thing many of us here on TD.com tend to forget to factor in. Schools, especially LSU or schools that lose a lot to the NFL, recruit on 2 or 3 year basis. In other words, we look at year-by-year class. To LSU's staff a "class" is a rolling 2 or 3 year personnel grouping.

It used to be that you recruited to replace your juniors. That way you get a guy in the program for a year while he sits behind a senior starter.

The timeline has compressed. You need guys that can play right away and be able to replace guys leaving after their junior year.

Athletes these days are just different and require to much pampering and the need for "love." In-state pride is overcome by flashy uniforms and spread offenses.

I don't know that any of the players we whiffed on went to schools with flashy uniforms (Bama and A&M's are about as vanilla as they come). UF has a good scheme but not better than the P&G (GOAT). A&M's O is (or it was) flashy so you could make a case for Noil in that regard. Willis to UF and Williams to Auburn make little sense.

I thought if anything it was the state pride that was missing. Reading CRob's tweets I don't think that's the case. Kids still love LA but that is getting translated into love for LSU.

It's that gap that we need to close, fill, and cement.

I had a recruits mom from my hometown tell me her son was going to LSU they day before signing, and I know for a fact that he told Les Miles and his high school coaches that. DD put it up on his site and I confirmed it with him. He meet with some guys that night and changes his tune the next day. No one knows why to this day. (Well I know but don't want to be banned here)I was blasted here as an idiot. But the truth is the kid lied to everyone,a and/or changed his mind at the last minute.

With that being said this is a cover story:

"Saban convinced Brown to visit his father and Skype with him from there, which was the moment everything changed. The parents slowly began to be pro-Bama, along with Tony himself."

and may I suggest that the writer knows what happened here as well but id just not going to say it.

The fact that our staff cobbled together the class we did against all the NSD defections is simply remarkable. Kudos to Les, et al.

People give CRob too much credit. He may love Louisiana, but to think he had loyalty anywhere is joke. He ditched his friends and school early on when leaving Ouachita. Many of these kids now only care for themselves and attention. Loyalty is foreign to most. I chalk it up to parenting most of the time.
