All I can say is that when LSU was beating bama on a regular basis NELA kids were going to LSU. Winning was enough to fend off the bag men. But saban came in and started taking care of these handlers like you wouldn't believe. Beating bama on the field will help a little but honestly I don't think anything can be done about bama taking care of a kid's entire family.

In all fairness, this kid is thos year's Hootie Jones. Bama can sign kids from Louisiana but LSU will sign just as good a class with or without them. Saban signs kids like Allen and Mosesbut LSU signs Phillips and Queen. Bama signs Mathis but LSU gets Shelvin and probably Big Marv.
So what do LSU fans do but start screeching and hollering that tge sky is falling. It isnt and LSU is going to have 2 of the Top 3 DLs in this years class.
Remember, Bama got Hootie and LSU got Jamal Adams. LSUs recruiting base simply is much larger than Monroe or Louisiana for that matter and there are just too many kids who LSU can sign.
