he knew benton was gonna be there or at least there was a 95% chance he would. plus i find it hard to believe that depth is an issue now..what about when jo jo decided to come back? does that mean he was a LSU lock before then, now because of benton of all players he's on the fence the night before he chooses? sounds like he just wants more attention(pryor style)! and whatever happened to the quiet, class act randle family?? just sounds like another blown up story...ill wait till tom. this deftly doesnt affect OUR class w or wo randle we're #1

The player has played a game with recruiting. He wanted to go to the school that paid him the most attention. He wants to be the man. To quote Ric Flair (and I really can't believe I am doing this) if you want to be the man you have to beat the man. If you don't have the nads to go head to head with the best in practice, you won't have it in the game.

Of all the reasons that RR could have for going out of state, the integrity/honesty of Les Miles is a hard one for me to buy into.

I do not fault this kid or his parents if the feeling is that he could have a better career elsewhere, but you CAN NOT expect me to believe that if I got to sit down, one on one with Les Miles, Saban, and Stoops that I would walk away feeling like MILES was the least trustworthy....

that is all.

Great post.

Mike S said that if RR gets to go where he wants to go then he will be at LSU.

BLEMLSU posted something to this affect on Tigerforums..

His Bastrop sources say, the entire family wants LSU, so does RR, but his Dad is just not completely on board yet and Dad has much to say..only pointing out negatives, but will NOT force the decision on Reuben, my guess is, RR to LSU in the next day or so.. He may wait until his dad can have another face to face with Miles to get clarity

Also his source said that RR welcomes the competition...his dad, not so much

I am feeling better now..

To me, if he doesn't sign with lsu and goes to Norman he was just looking for an excuse to focus the hate toward les Instead of his family once he picks a less than popular choice. Cause no way lsus roster is that much scarier than OUs. Lsus Qb might be unproven but Bradford will only be there for his freshman year then OU will be breaking in a new qb... Just doesn't make sense unless rueben really does hate Benton as much as some Auburn people have been spreading it

OU - plays bad defenses, loses heisman QB after this year.

Bama - breaking in new QB this year, and doesn't throw the ball too much

LSU - starting a soph with experience, and freshman QB... throws a lot to receivers.

hmmmm.....

Yeah, he throws a lot to the other team receivers.

I heard this weekend that RR was pissed about what your coach told him on his limited playing time his freshman year. His Dad didn't make it up. He has a legit concern. How he can tell the #2 player in the country that he'd be limited is beyond imagination.

Some teams have more receivers than just Jesus Christ himself, you know.

its easy to promise a freshman WR playing time when you ain't got shite for talent there to begin with; and still easy to promise when you only have Julio Jones (his name be praised) to share time with.

All things being equal, coaches should be more loyal to upperclassmen.

You're just making stuff up now. Randle's father was upset about something else ... a supposed lie. What you posted would be far from a lie ... it would be a coach being upfront and honest to a recruit.

You know so little. It is amusing to watch you completely embarrass yourself after just seven posts. Way to go.

I'm much rather a coach tell a recruit he'd see limited playing time as a freshman than for a coach to tell a recruit he'd start as a freshman. Seems to me the former would be a lot closer to the likely truth than the latter.

How a coach can tell the #2 recruit in the country that he will start his freshman year is beyond imagination.
