D line takes longer to develop, but when they get the year under their belt you can see a difference. Mike brockers is a good example of that.

Eh... I'm all for bringing in quality DL and we certainly are targeting some. But...

2012: Danielle Hunter
2013: Frank Herron, Greg Gilmore, Tashawn Bower, Christian LaCouture, Maquedius Bain
2014: Davon Godchaux, Deondre Clark

We've already got eight. And that's not counting Gerald Willis and Garrald McDowell, who are pretty close to LSU locks right now. There's 10, and only one (Hunter) will be draft-eligible after 2014.

Once all the chips fall in this class I think we'll be set at DL for a while. So I agree with you, but I don't think it's a big concern.

Bust???? What because they didn't make all SEC as a freshman? How in the hell do you declare those guys as bust it?

He's being sarcastic and acting like these clowns that think just because these guys haven't played, that they aren't good.

Garrald McDowell
Far from an LSU lock, probably going to Ole Miss.
He's impressive, but not a DT. He actually looks like a Bama LB type. When I saw him in person, I was most impressed with him at FB.

We really need to get a Higgins d-lineman or two in this class. We need to be able to rotate 8 men like we have in the past!!!

sorry, man. im almost 41. im out of eligibility. also, ive become more of a 2 gap player than edge rusher in my old age.

DT really scares me next year

Why? It can't be a whole lot worse than the production we got out of Anthony Johnson this season. He disappeared for basically an entire season.

I was mocking the guys who were calling them busts. My point is that, at DT, they need a couple of years before they come into their own.

Playmakers are needed, but we need guys who can get off blocks. How many teams play power football besides Gumps and Florida? We need athletic bigs who can move and play well against the spread offenses.

Are there any stud JUCO D-linemen out there that have an interest in LSU and could come in and do work?
