Its really pretty simple. LSU has gotten in the game a little late but Ed Paris is steady in his ear and his family loves the visit so far. LSU has alot of stability in the program and a need at safety. Texas and Florida may not have the same coach by the time hes a sophomore.

Well, isn't he originally from Louisiana or is that ed? I can't remember

Also, with how Texas has been playing recently, I wouldn't want to weather that storm. And if my best friend was pullin me hard to LSU, then I would take a strong look at them, and that's exactly what he's doing

I strongly think he'll wind up in BR

PS - I don't have any sources, I'm just going on gut feelings

Texas supposedly spurned him when they removed an offer to his teammate Brandon Simmons or something of that note

Texas people may feel confident but anyone in the know knows its a three horse race between florida ole miss and lsu

Lsu has always been in contact with Adams, but picked up contact right before the Arkansas game where he unofficially visited. He's stated in an interview with espn that "les mile is the best coach in college football", he's best friends with Ed Paris and good friends with tony brown, and the only reason he's even considering Florida is bc his godfather, joker Phillips, is a coach there.

Word as of last night is he is really enjoying his official, the drive isn't that far from his hometown and he will get a chance to play right away for lsu

My house is about 20 miles west of his, and the drive to BR sucks, but it's very manageable

I heard that Texas told Brandon Simmons if he came to their camp, he would be offered. It was basically a ploy to get his high school teammate, Paris, to come to the camp. Simmons was never offered, which pissed off Simmons' dad, who coaches the 7 on 7 team that Paris, Simmons, Adams, and Tony Brown play for. Because of that, supposedly they all agreed to not go to Texas. I don't know if this is true or not.

With Henry possibly making a move to the NFL making a move for joker would be nice. Wonder if cam or les have any ties. With the uncertainty of UF you think he would listen.

Yeah, I fail to see any mention on their boards regarding that. Its amazing how opposite diff schools' services can be. For instance, Frank Herron according to the Texas "insiders" was a serious possibility to Texas on NSD, while no one else thought there was a good chance. I can't stand Texas sources, they report anything, tons of terrible reporting with false information from there over the years.

For instance, look at this Tony Brown update I received in an e-mail.

quote:

We heard from a source after Beaumont Ozen DB Tony Brown took an official visit to Texas during the week of the Oklahoma State game that the Longhorns had made a really strong impression. In fact, one Rivals reporter was told by a college coach in the state Texas was the team to beat. A third source told us LSU had fallen off dramatically and this one could be shaping up as a Texas-Alabama battle.

LSU did an in-home with Brown on Sunday so the script could have taken yet another turn, but we still feel Texas has a solid chance.

"They (Texas) do (feel people are underestimating the Longhorns' chances)," our source said. "I think it's going to be a battle to the end but Texas will be in it."

Brown may announce his decision at the Under Armour All-American Game (OB will be in attendance). He's going to be an early enrollee, and Mack Brown is expected to do an in-home visit next week.

On Jamal Adams

quote:

Adams took an unofficial visit to LSU last week. He's expected to be back in Baton Rouge this weekend for an official visit. Ole Miss and LSU did in-homes this week, and Florida is supposed to go in on Sunday.

This one has looked like a Texas-Florida battle for the longest time, but even those closely tied in no longer have a clear feel on how Adams' recruitment will play out.

"Who knows? (Texas) is one of four or five for him," our source said.

^Not any mention of the Ed Paris connection…despite the fact that Ed Paris is a TOP DB in the state of Texas which you would think Texas ppl would have a clue about Texas recruits, especially TOP recruits, no mention what so ever.

Just heard from the Texas "insiders" that Tony Brown doesn't care at all about the Brandon Simmons ordeal as Jimmy Smith says and didn't make any pact, and his "actions say otherwise" about his interest in Texas.

To be honest, nothing has indicated to me that these three won't be tigers.

You could see it coming with Hootie and Cam, but I have a different feeling with these guys. Having Ed and BH in their ears all the time also helps

This class is gonna be awesome when it's all said and done

I think the Orangebloods sources are equal to the A&M sources.

Ketchum & Chip Brown = Taylor Hammbone

They seriously come off as Tony Brown "clearly knows" Texas is better, just this or that keep Texas back, but CLEARLY he would choose Texas if all else is equal.

No joke, they give LSU very very little press in their updates. Often times they won't even mention LSU in their little "recruit updates". That attitude is why I hate Texas. Its more than obvious of Jamal Adams' interest in LSU, and Tony Brown has been a huge LSU fish from the very very beginning…yet they don't respect that at all.

That's pretty much true.

They think Saban is a done deal….even though they still have a coach.

Its just annoying.
