Even though he is listed at guard, he is being recruited as a center.

looks solid, a bit short. Could be a center imo

6'3 is solid. Especially if he knows how to out-leverage opponents. But we do need a center after Elliot Porter leaves.

looking, at his offer list, id be surprised if he doesn't come here, cuz we're by far his best choice...
....my only question is why is he one of our top OG choices?

If you are underwhelmed by Tezeno's film and qualifications, I guess that says more about Malone and Boutte than anything.
And while I agree with you that our guard pickings have been kinda slim, at least Tezeno is an upgrade - and that can't be a bad thing.

Boutte's film is pretty impressive

Ah, something just dawned on me. This offer to Tezeno comes on the same day that Kublanow committed to Georgia. I knew that Kublanow was #1 on our list, and it now makes sense on the timing of this offer to Tezeno.

Tezeno: 1550 on SAT w 4.0 gpa. might help.

OP should change the thread title since we're obviously after him as a center. With those academic numbers, if he's got the talent it's any easy decision to offer. He's also got family in Opelousas, although, being that I'm from there, I don't know if that's a positive or a negative.

I can see why they like him at center. Smart, the right size and moves okay. Good centers usually have a very particular and unique skillset so unless you know exactly what each OL guy likes at center, it's hard to really see what they're seeing.
Agree about the offer list thing. Unless he is missing some on his public list, we should easily be able to pull this kid. No brainer.
I think our OG recruiting has been great and is pretty set in this class. Boutte and Malone are good looking OG prospects. Boutte has the potential to be a very good one. OT on the other hand has been strange, confusing and just bad this cycle. Every kid we've gone after at OT is either committed elsewhere, heavy leans elsewhere or we offered very late compared to others. Granted the pickings at OT are slim this year, unless your Michigan, particularly in the southeast but our strategy has been a little strange.

It seems to me that we have made Pocic our #1 target at OT with Santa Marina, Thomas, and the Brown kid from GA as #2s. So it looks like LSU would like 4 OL in this class: 2 G, 1 C, 1 T.

Well we did take 3 OTs last class
