Two guys to watch if LSU wants to ever run Wildcat some

Obviously, one is J Johnson the all-time LA HS offense leader as a QB who is projected at CB. However, the other was not obvious at least to me...Rogers. Even though he is projected at S, most of his highlights his JR season had him at QB. Kelly has publicly stated that each expressed a desire to have some snaps on offense. Normally, I'm not the biggest Wildcat fan. Having said that, if you are ever going to run the Wildcat there should be an OPTION to pass or run. Most wildcat guys don't even pretend to want to pass. Needless to say, they shouldn't spend most of their time in the QB room but I could definitely understand a package being created for one or both of these guys. They look very comfortable throwing the ball in addition to running it of course...great athletes.

Just direct snap to Kaleb Jackson with 10 blockers if we’re going to do that

You are right in that most teams just do that. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. IMO, the best wildcat player is the one who CAN pass. I doubt that Jackson can do that. Plus, I like Jackson but he is basically a Cecil Collins type of guy (not shifty but with speed and power). I think the better wildcat guy is one who is shifty, elusive, and can throw the ball. I'll bet if Kelly decides to implement a wildcat which I don't think he has used at all, it will be with Johnson and/or Rogers.

I get it
I just think Nuss would have to be hurt with a 2nd/3rd string QB struggling in a game (similar to Florida state at the end of year) for something like that to come up in game

Who’s the sweep guy? Zavion, Chris Hilton or Aaron Anderson?

I mean…. the whole point is to get your running back the ball immediately not your emergency QB.
