I love Mason Taylor’s potential and believe he is going to have a successful career @ LSU.
That said, I don’t think MT’s quite ready to be much of a force as a blocking TE. I could see him contributing early as a pass-catching TE, however.

Dude has gathered career stats in 4 years at Tulane with 27 career receptions, 316 yards, and 4 TDs. At Tulane. Hard pass.
I'd rather take a chance letting Taylor do something or one of the young guys at TE than give this guy a ship. If you're going to waste a ship like that you should at least try to convince someone else in the portal to come even if it's not in a need position. That's an absolute waste of a ship even if it's a position of need.
