WTF, we already have a top 5 class that is likely underrated and a chance at an epic finish and every other post is negatigers?
WTF?? What are you 12 year olds?
First of all winning a National championship has almost no impact on this years recruiting class, not a lot on next years but really starts to kick in 2-5 years out because those kids are just starting the recruiting process. There is A study on this, I assume it’s public if not everyone knows it.
It will help stop the Saban shite, but we can already counter with he us retiring next year anyway. Louisiana will be locked down for us except for the weird kids like Pran that hate home.
This is a very down year for recruiting and again we are going to have a top 3-6 class.
Even his detractors admit that 0 is a great recruiter.

Excellent class. Had a chance to be epic but O has not closed well yet. Now he has a championship in his back pocket. Let’s see what it does for the future.

I've always been a big fan of Ed O since even before he became the head coach at LSU. However, currently, our class is not top five because two of those players, Lorando Johnson and CamRon Jackson will not make it into this class.
Indeed, currently, the recruiting sites have us at 24 commitments, but legitimately we really have 22 commitments. Hence, our current ranking numbers are overstated by those two aforementioned recruits.
Nonetheless, like you, I feel that our current class is under-ranked and is indeed, one of the best classes ever recruited to LSU.
I'm hoping that we can end up with one or two more recruits in this 2020 class. However, if it doesn't happen, I'm also good with saving those spots for the 2021 class or maybe even the transfer portal.

That doesn't matter to the recruiting services or to 24/7 anyway.
Texas is ranked #3 for the 2019 class. Their top recruit and one of only two 5-stars has never been on campus during football season and attends Southern Cal in Los Angeles. He is still listed as a Texas recruit.
A&M is ranked #4 and still shows a guy that is committed but not signed. Up until right now when I looked they have had two listed as committed that counted in the rankings.
If you took the player at Texas out of the ranking they would be at 279.40 instead of 287.69 and would fall behind LSU in the rankings.
It looks like even though Bru McCoy never suited up in a Texas uniform for a football game, Texas will forever receive credit for him. And USC where he will play every game as a player (if he doesn't transfer again) will never get credit for him.
Same with Florida, Chris Steele and USC. Chris Steele was Florida's top recruit and left for USC before his first spring practice ended. He is still listed and counted for UF and not USC.
