LSU must get Trey Palmer on the field, hopefully as the slot receiver, along with Chase and Marshall. This kid reminds me so much of Marquise Brown from Oklahoma. Has the ability to take the top off the defense, which LSU is missing greatly. Palmer should definitely play before Dillon, because Dillon hasn't shown the ability to run by defenders when faced with press coverage. LSU is in dire need of a speed WR that scares the defense and that's what Palmer brings to the team.

Great top end speed and excels in open space but needs work on his route running. No comparison to Odell at this point in his career!

I’ll start by saying this:

Jarvis Landry is one of my favorite LSU players of all time. I’m a huge fan.

Palmer looks more explosive, and is probably faster. Idk if he has insane hands, but I donlove Palmers feet. Very fast

Just look at the list of receivers we have, as far as pure talent goes we aren't behind anybody.

Ja'Maar Chase
Terrace Marshall
Dee Anderson
Steven Sullivan
Derek Dillon
Devonta Lee
Trey Palmer
Kenan Jones
Jaray Jenkins

No one remembers our best receiver.

Chase should blow shite up this year.
Wouldn’t be surprised one bit if he’s the leading WR this year on the team.

He could be. I think Steven Sullivan makes big plays this year as well. But you still have to include Jefferson on the list of receivers. I personally hope he has another strong year and gets drafted. You can't deny results.

I agree that Palmer's skill set fills a huge need for our WR corps. But I disagree with the above part of your post because, in fairness to Dillon, Palmer has not shown the ability to run by collegiate defenders when faced with press coverage.

Hands or so so ,but it’s his route running that’ll keep him out the line up

I agree Palmer is talented, but pretty much every year we talk about a pass catcher who is going to come in as a freshman and be a difference maker. Just last year it was Chase and Marshall. Good receivers, but they didn't blow up.

The last freshman we had who was a major influence at the wideout spot was OBJ. Palmer is good, but the position isn't as easy for a freshman as people think, and the roster is loaded with experienced players in front of him.

Yeah he's going to slide right in at that #3 starting spot in 2020. Kid is a fluid player and isn't afraid to block.

More talented than Dillon but it won't be easy to beat him out as a frosh.

Dillon has had breakout plays, but has he had a breakout game?

I see him being very dangerous this year. Perfect year tk do it too, for him.

Yeah, but playing time will be hard to come by elsewhere.

I love it when a player with his abilities has a hard time cracking the lineup!
