I coach at Jennings High. Trevor Etienne (little brother of Travis) was offered by CEO at 8 this morning. The kid was ecstatic. O is making moves in state which brings joy to my heart.

Nice. Is he expected to be one of the top Louisiana RBs in the class on 2022?

Just as fast, and bigger than Travis was at that age. Time will tell though, he’s just a freshman.

Biggest takeaway for me is the reception from Etienne.

I went to watch them play Welsh last fall....he played and was decent...but again, a true high school freshman. So yeah, hell be special

Wasn't O the recruiting coordinator at the time?

It’s not like he offered Etienne first day on the job either. It’s not worth fighting the narrative though

smh

HC determines who gets offered.

RC formulates the plans to recruit the players that the HC decides to pursue.

Etienne told KPLC that Coach Rusty Phelps pulled him into his office and Coach Ed Orgeron was on the phone and offered the sophomore. Etienne said his excitement was off the charts.

“On a scale of 1-10, I would say 1000,” Etienne said, “being that I’m 14 and only a freshman.”

Like Travis, Trevor is being recruited to play running back at the next level. Trevor said watching his brother set records at both Jennings and Clemson has been an inspiration to him.

“My whole life I’ve wanted to play running back. It’s my favorite position,” Trevor admitted. “Having an older brother that I can look up to and learn from is really helpful and a blessing.”

Class was 75% full & major resources had already been committed to other players. The family loved O. Go back & check the tape. Kid should have been offered his Jr year as he was a goddamn stud, miles screwed this one up badddd
