True, I can't speak for all Bama fans, but I don't care. The fact that CLT was such a great recruiter is because he was assigned to talent loaded area around Mobile. Trent, AJ, DJ, BJ Scott, Julio, all those guys are from that area. If it was Bo Davis recruiting there, he'd be the number one recruiter. Saban's had the lock down on the Mobile area since he was at LSU. These guys are coming to Bama because of Saban and Bama, not because of Lance Thompson.

Honestly, I really can't see Richardson going anywhere but Alabama. Florida? He's not a WR so he is not going to get his carries. Tennessee? Thompson is good but I can't see Richardson changing his school choice because of Thompson. LSU? A few true believers think so but I highly doubt it.

I think he'll be at Bama as well.

Under Armour All-American Trent Richardson, stunned by former Tide assistant coach Lance Thompson's departure for Tennessee, is still taking visits and plans to make his final decision on national signing day
quote:
He is expected to travel to Gainesville, Fla. this weekend, check out LSU on January 23rd, and then head to Tennessee or Florida State on Jan. 30th

"I was going to take visits anyway and I guess this makes me think a little bit more but I still love Alabama. This changes things a little but doesn't mean I'm not going there. Not at all," Richardson said. "I realized when I committed that I was going because Alabama was a good fit for me and that hasn't really changed. But this does make me want to make sure I'm making the right choice. But I was doing that anyway. This weekend I go to Florida and after that I will take a few more visits. But I'm going to play everything by ear. I will see how I feel and what happens between now and then, but nothing has really changed from my end."

But five-star running back Trent Richardson, one of the many players Thompson had been recruiting for Alabama, said he did speak with an infuriated Saban on Thursday.
"He was very surprised," said Richardson, an Alabama commitment. "He was kind of upset with the situation. I'm frustrated, too. I never thought this would happen to me."
Richardson was shaken when he heard the news, and he tried to no avail to call Thompson all day. He said Thompson's phone was not working. The Pensacola, Fla., native was asked if this changed his plans.
"Well, I'm just going to finish going through the recruiting process, get to February, sit down with my mom and talk it over with my family and my coaches at my school now," Richardson said. "Let it ride like that. I'm all right, but I got to keep my eyes open."

Scott's return I don't see him coming here...........but stranger things have happened.
why? ..does anyone REALLY believe he was getting a bunch of carries if Scott was gone anyway? KW, Murph and Ridley would have absorbed that load
If TR comes to LSU he will get minimal carries or redshirt his first year... then when KW and Scott leave next year he would likely battle it out with Ford for the job. It's just that simple.
If he goes to Bama he'll have Ingram taking most of his carries away for at least the next 2 years, so I really don't see that big of a difference

My Sabin dislike has always been rooted in the fact that he is a total azzhole and just a dishonest and mean person of low character but I have to admit that video showing him honestly speaking of how much he likes and misses LSU softened me a lot.
I don't expect it to happen any time soon but I honestly believe that if Les Miles leaves LSU sometime within the next 5 years or so, Sabin will again try to return to LSU.

no shite ..which means Ingram is #1 now and will be for the next 2-3 years
I know Bama is predominately a run team, but IMO TR would get just as good a chance to start at LSU in 2010 as he would at Bama since Scott and KW will be gone

Arkansas, Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi all throw the exact same stone at each other.
At least we can all agree that Kentucky is the worst.
