I would take a Jones/To'To and BTJ finish in a heart beat with 1 spot open. I'd also be fine with a Jones/To'To finish with 2 spots open. We're going to need a spot or 2 for an offensive line plug and play out of the portal in 2022.

He does deliver but from what I've heard and from what Mike has said him self Simpson is a freak. He had very good reviews of Simpson last season. I dont know if Simpson truly has taken his spot but I assume Jones knows that if he gets hurt he won't get his spot back and he has three years of eligibility left so why not go somewhere with a need at LB.

Whoa! 3 years? Would be too good to be true. (though we'd only get 2 at most)

I didn't realize he was graded this high tbh. Sign him up with To or the USC LB. Get 2 Lbs in the portal.

Crazy how Simpson, a 5* talent, was a last minute take for Clemson. Shows where they’re at right now.

I believe he was a last minute take due to them wanting Justin Flowe and a few weeks before he decided not to go with them and thus they took Simpson.

Would fit in perfectly in the spot vacated by Jabril Cox

Jabril was 6'4 230. Big difference kid

Right now they “Clemson” are ranked #5 in the 247 composite rankings.................................Right behind #4 LSU who just went 5-5.....

Shows you where LSU is at too right?

The SEC is the bigger potential hang up. I have a feeling they are not going to allow waivers in-conference.

So how does Gilbert arrive at UF???

He sits out a year per SEC rules. Out of conference transfers don’t have to.....

They play the same position and both are OLB who excel in coverage. Nobody said they were the exact same size moron.

Cox might be a few inches taller but he wasn’t the most physical linebacker out there. I think Jones could absolutely take the position vacated by Cox’s departure. They definitely look like comparable players.

According to Herb Vincent this week, he’s sitting a year. Coaches can no longer block kids from going to certain schools. The portal ended the practice of conditional releases.
