Woman’s basketball and men’s baseball has #1 2025 class. Reasons why our FB program can’t have #1 class?
This is the 2nd or 3rd year our baseball program had #1 class.

Are you sure about that? Maybe you mean 2025?

Not saying LSU can't have the #1 football class, but baseball and football recruiting are extremely different. How many programs in the country are truly investing serious NIL in baseball? 5-10? Compare that to the NIL flowing through football programs throughout the country and its not even comparable. Add the baseball NIL to the fact that LSU is the Alabama football of the baseball world and pulling in top recruiting classes for baseball, while not easy, is much easier than pulling in a top class in football

Generally speaking, in football if you land in the top 3-5 consistently, you're golden. You don't hit on every player anyway so as long as you're top 3-5, your roster will become stacked after a few classes.

Agreed, and I believe that with the resources, NIL, and brand of LSU's program, top 5 every year is very obtainable. My point to the OP is that trying to compare the recruiting in sports like baseball and women's basketball that have very little NIL investment nationwide is not nearly the same as football. The reality is LSU is a big fish in a small pond in baseball and women's basketball. In football, we are a big fish in a really big pond, and there are a lot of other big fish

Only one of the three sports you listed is a major sport. There is a HELL OF A LOT MORE competition among the colleges for top football players than there is for baseball or lesbian basketball players.
After spitting those facts, I will say there's no reason we can't get the top class occasionally, and finish in the top ten every year in football.
