Ok, bubba, it's 8:45. I haven't heard a peep.
I'm gonna have to go with the "you are full of shite" crowd.

Between this comment and Luke saying that Alabama was going to get hammered with penalties tonight, I am aghast.
My fellow Auburn fans are starting to piss me off

You talking about the recruits? The list is already out. 12 of the ESPN 150 including the top two prospects in the country (according to the list are visiting). Lache, Lattimore, Reed and many many others.

It is these AU coaches asking these kids to visit all on the same weekend with no regard to how these kids will pay for it. Then the AU coaches act like all these kids are locks and that all these top recruits are visiting without their pushing. I've seen them in action and that's all I will say right now about that. What bugs me the most is their total disregard for these kids because most can't afford traveling to AU as often as the AU coaches want. So let's put a kid into debt before they can even get to college as long as they can keep these kids from visiting other schools. Selfish people living just ahead of the pink slip. I see it all the time. People claim that they are the greatest since slice bread at their former company and how everybody else was the problem. So they applied for this job because it is a step up. What I have noticed over the 24 + years with the company I work for is that those guys come and go because they are living on other peoples work. Same Story, different place of employment.
Well done.
Hopefully, smart people in the lives of these young men can explain this to them.
I honestly believe that the Auburn fire will burn out with a troubled season. It is actually great news that Auburn fans like CPA are excited and expecting great things. (note to CPA....spare me the, "I'm a realist and am not expecting a great season crap...") It'll make the backlash greater. The first loss to a mediocre team; which will come quickly, will send the fan base into a tail spin. I can't wait to see there websites either!!! They'll be like rabid dogs calling out the powers that be for hiring chizik.
Not to mention; I don't care to hear the Malzahn argument. He's a headcoach within 2 years and won't give a shite about any of these athletes he's recruiting.
Just be patient everyone...this won't play out in Auburn's favor come February.

I feel the same way about the Tiger Rant. Although, it's not just after a bad loss, but after any loss.

It's almost 2 hrs. since your deadline of 8:00 and still no word. Are you getting nervouse yet? You are looking quite silly.

"Oh man, I had the chance to sit down and talk to Coach Miles and Coach Crowton and You can't get any better than talking with the two masterminds of football"

My deadline?

Well, that would hinge on two things, the first obviously being why the hell would I be nervous about something I didn't predict, the second being why should I give a flying frick about possible commitments in freaking May.

No, that would be you.
Look, I'm happy Auburn is being looked at by so many high level recruits, and I am hoping for a good class. That's about the extent of my care for recruiting right now.
However, I do look for Auburn to get one of the three possible running back candidates when its all said and done.

Go read the article on Foxsports where they talk about the new coaches in the SEC and how they talk about Auburn having the biggest impact...but in a negative way, leading to seasons of mediocrity at best. Its awesome, and true

You know as well as I do that all of the Auburn faithful are just waiting for Chiziks first mistake to go absolutely ape shite. Hell, you fired the best coach you ever had because he made one bad hire.
You'll go into the iron bowl with a losing record and get run out of the stadium in that game. Let me see you carry that kind of momentum into recruiting and produce the kind of class you guys are talking about.
Every coach in the league will be sure to mention that Chizik is a short-timer and the attitude of your fans will make it real. When Malzahn feels that heat, he'll jump on a head coaching job before his name gets dragged down with the ship. Then tell the best highschool runningbacks in the country that AU is the place to be.

Tuberville was a fantastic coach, but not the best coach Auburn ever had. And that wasn't the only reason he was fired, FWIW.

So, should I "book it"?

He replied to my post, so I assumed he merely confused me and CPA.
Ah well, I'm not bent out of shape about it.

It's kind of nice having an AU poster on these boards that is not a total douche. They have been few and far between lately.

I don't really frequent this board to often, as its primarily based on LSU recruiting.
But yeah,

I was responding to both of you. There's no need to be bent out of shape, but think about what's being said.
3 or 4 of the greatest high school players in the country are gonna cross several state lines to play for a program that none of them have any past ties with, that has a head coach with a losing record, that has an offensive coordinator just waiting for a head coaching offer, the team had a losing record last year with just as many question marks (if not more) this year. Not to mention, it's not the greatest geographical draw in the world either.
I could barely buy all of this hype if these were Alabama kids....but Texas? South Carolina? Louisiana? Come on...
I guess stranger things have happened. But to come on here borderline arrogant about it is just down right absurd and you know it.
